FS2Audio.dll problems

Featured Replies

I have downloaded and installed the new v1.3 Tinmouse after backing up and removing the old version. I am running FS9 on Windows 7 64 bit, and I copied the required FS2AUDIO.DLL into both the Windows\System32, and the Windows\SysWOW64 folders. If I try to load the plane in FS9, I get the attached error message (FS2Audio.DLL failed to load).I would appreciate any assistance on this. Also, I noted that in the FSFSCONV panel folder, the LEFT.BMP was missing (when compared to my backup version). Thanks for the update, and I hope I can get it working!

Yep, that file is missing. It'll be in the next update...until then, if you have an older version just copy it over, if not, download version 1.25 and get it out of there. It won't affect FSX at all, and in FS9 you won't get the window frame if looking to the left. My apologies.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

But this says it is version 9.29.1973 I have directX 11 on my system. Or am I being dumb? (quite likely )

I understand now. The link to the microsoft website updates DirextX9 , it does not "downgrade" DierectX11.Installed it and works fine now.Peter

Same problem here. Re installed , nothing happened. Removed from win 32 said required..put them back nothing. All the files are in the right directory and no sound at all.Just once when I removed from win 32 and the error popped up I quickly put the file back and the sound worked. After restart of FsX again nothing.Iam very excited with the panel but unhappy with the sound...what Ive done wrong ? (FSX SP2 with WIN7 64)Nick.

With a 64-bit OS, the FS2AUDIO.DLL file also has to be placed in the windows\sysWOW64 folder.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

It is allready but nothing happened. It was there from the begining of the problem....and to be right was there another file with the same name and I overwrite it.Thanks for your answer Bob and for the support ! Great Job with 1.30 ver for FSX thanks again !Nick.

I have the same FSAudio.dll failed to load problem. I reinstalled DirectX 9c but this did NOT fix the problem. The update some have mentioned is a software developers tool, not an actual end-users update. Is there any other way, short of a bug fix update to fix the problem?
