Michael J (Fox?..sorry could not leave it),Many Thanks for your pictures, this sure helps a lot! However, I have one important question (for me at least). What would you advise to enable the thrustreservers on your Throttle Quadrant. This will definetly decide whether I will buy the CH Throttle or the Go Flight Throttle. These have levers for thrust reverser.If you could advise how to enable the thrustreservers best on your kit, it would be great! I know you can use e.g. FSUIPC for tweaking the settings of a lever, but are there alternatives?Thanks in advance!

Hi Michael,Thanks for the heads up on the pics. I was wondering when they would show these. Pics look great on their FTP Srever. :-)I've been extremely happy with my CH 3-Lever Yoke & Pro Pedals, and CH's warranty service was some of the best I have seen. (Right toe brake broke) 3-year warranty's rock. :-)I hope they price this right and not too much.I paid about $100 each for my 3-lever Yoke and Pro Pedals. I'm not sure I would be willing to pay more than what I paid for those. I would pay less though. My guess is that it should retail for about $79.00 US. (That is my pricepoint, for my expectations, others may vary.)As far as the comment about them being plastic that someone mentioned. Let me tell you. Interesting comment Colin.Have you owned their 3-lever Yoke. Mine is built very well, and after 2 years, and two of my boys, 12 & 8, it performs great. Plastic has come a long way, and their plastic is not cheap. I find it is quite resiliant to two boys jerking the Extra300 all over the sky. :-)You want cheap, go to Best Buy or Circuit City and browse their joystick isles. Now there you will find plenty of cheap plastic.I just have to disagree with you on this point. Besides, The warranty on these is 3 Years...I will give you this though. Particularly after King Allensworth asked me at the Avsim Conference if I'd started any good arguments recently in the forums. Moi? Surely not ...Honoured to be the recipient of your second post ever (hey, c'mon, changed yer screen name, did ya?) and very impressed to see where you're getting to with the MAAM scenery. Worth buying the R4D for that alone, Bill. Marvellous. I particularly like the 'FBO backside' screenshot but there goes my sense of humour again and anyway it'll get everybody else looking. I have hammered my three lever yoke and pedals relentlessly for three years now with size 14 feet and agressive paws that always overcorrect, thereby smashing the yoke into the keyboard at every available opportunity; and apart from yielding clouds of dog hair whenever I land a Gazelle on a dirt surface, they're "goin' great". If they're significantly cheaper than the GoFlight stuff (which is magnificent, my wife just says I can't afford it) then I'll be going for the meatloaf. Each to his own. I like the high-quality molding on CH products, and I like their quadrant much better than the GoFlight one from an appearance standpoint. I like the GoFlight panels a lot (I have a few) but the quadrant has a flimsy look about it, especially the lever "shafts".Re: another post mentioning $79 for the quadrant - you are dreaming. As I said in another post about the CH product, the tooling costs for something like this (a relatively low-volume produt) are substantial and they have to make money on their products.I'm not even much of a multi-engine simpilot - I fly mostly single-engine GA planes - but I'll probably eventually get the CH quadrant just 'cause it's cool!Dave Blevins

Attending the Tahoe Avsim conference in 2002 getting a 'feel' for all the yokes was one of my main goals - I never owned or tried any yoke before. Going there my mind was conditioned by all the posts I read before about the CH yokes 'sticking' or being made of 'cheap plastic'.To make the long story short - I walked out highly impressed by the CH yoke. It actually had a nice rugged look (not the cheap plastic I was expecting) and it felt really smooth and the response forces also felt perfect. It even handled better than some of the expensive metal yokes I tried (which for me were not 'stiff' enough). Considering the prices - there was simply no competition. Just my own perspective.Michael J.

Most "cheap plastic" parts went out about 1975, and it is now by far and away the material of choice for all manufacturing. Aside from the prefered manufacturing process, and improved engineering design concept and capabilities afforded by that process, the materials themselves, when combined with fiberglass and other fillers, result in overall strengths that are outstanding in every respect. And it yields the most affordable price for the customer.Don't like CH Products ? Your welcome to your opinion. But the point about not liking them because of "cheap plastic", is very unlikely to be true. It is totally unlikely that any manufacturer today uses "cheap plastic" for any parts. Don't believe me ? Just try to break into a new bag of potato chips without half breaking your teeth and oh yes, try ripping up that thin little 2-liter bottle of coke you bought to slosh them down.I'd look for other reasons to not like CH Products is I were you.Bob (Lecanto, Fl)

Gentlemen,If there is something you would like on this unit NOW is the time to speak up. I regret I am not a real pilot so any information you can lend to my project would be GREATLY appreciated. I have spoken to a number of you at AvSim conferences and EAA's Air Venture but I need more. I know you want thrust reverse but I need to know where and how are they employed on the unit itself. I have seen pictures where the Thrust Reverse lever is it's own axis and exists next to the throttle levers on large aircraft, while some of you have expressed a desire for a detent on a particular lever that would be the thrust reverse. I am at a loss.Help me to help you in what is our shared hobby. Send me E-MAILS, more E-MAILS. Choke my in-box with suggestions, pictures, and instructions. This is YOUR Throttle Quadrant; make it something to be proud of. But hurry, I need these e-mails soon, if I start cutting steel for the mold there is no going back or "you need a ...".
