Panel causing flight speed issue?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,I have the freeware XB-70 aircraft. It flies at Mach 3.0. The default panel is, well, crappy. So I installed a known working B747 panel. When I takeoff or fly in the XB-70 now (w/ the 747 panel) I can't get the throttles beyond 100% (thus no afterburners). If i reinstall the default panel, throttles work fine, I get afterburners, get Mach 3.0. With the 747 panel, I don't get the ability to accelerate to Mach 3.0 because the throttles only go to 100%. Has anyone seen an issue where a panel will restrict your throttle movement or prevent your throttle from going to 110%? I know this is a non-standard setup, but I really want the 747 panel to work. What can I do to possibly fix that? Any suggestions? Thanks,Derald

Gauges can be used to manipulate flight performance; this is sometimes done to provide more realism than FS's standard features do.John

If the panel used uses default EICAS gauges, then that explains why the indicators cannot display supersonic readings. On another side note, a 747, as always, could never reach anything more Dave.

What if you exchange the 747 throttles with the xb70 throttles in the 747 panel?

You could allocate a key in the FS settings to activate afterburner/reheat as one of the old Concorde models did, I think it was the Altitude Concorde. That worked Ok.Colin B

Shift+F3 is a default keyboard assignment to toggle afterburners.regards,Joe

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried Shift-F3, no luck. I will swap out the default 747 throttles for the XB-70 ones. Hopefully I can get this to work, as I like the 747 panel I have much more than the gimpy XB-70 panel. Thanks!
