Folks,Since we probably won't have the opportunity to fly them in the race, I would like to propose an On-line Concorde Team flight. The proposed leg is SCIP-SCTE. This is a reprise of the final leg of the Concorde Conundrum from the 2005 RTWR. The full story of that event can be read here starting at the end of page 17. I propose that we should fly on the weekend to maximise possible participants. My schedule is very flexible on the weekends so I am open to changes.How about Sunday January 16, 16:00 UTC?Meet on Buzz's Hamatchi multiplayer and teamspeak.Of course all AVSIM veterans are invited to join the on-line session regardless of what they are flying. I thought this would be a nice way to promote some serious drinking by Sven who will remember this leg well :(:(

I'd join in, but I don't know if I'll even be awake at that time (or even if I'll be home from work)... And I'd need a whole lot of "training" on the SSTSIM Concorde in FS9...Edit: Oops.... I guess I should stop making posts when I'm that tired.... Never even noticed that this was on a Sunday, and next weekend to boot.... Still need to spend some serious time learning the sstsim concorde, and hopefully my system is truly virus-free.....

I don't mind doing this. I will bring along a TU144 to compare how it is to the Concorde!

Heliguy, maybe my memory is failing me but were you a part of the RTW Race last year? IF not, are you looking to join the team this year? We can always use some new pilots. :)

My 'co-pilot' was looking the wrong way during pre-flight operations for the supersonic flight today. Oh, well at least I had some company for the 2 hour flight!

Time to practice now,, And.. of all things, going thru the checklists ( a must do on Concorde ) I forgot to start Duenna for a practice run :-(). Anyhow, here's some screenies from today and before hand.This one is from earlier, after the new computer build,, coming into KORD with a NASTY! front coming in (RW) . Already committed on approach from the Janesville STAR, winds changing, not in time. Lots of traffic coming my way. Just not good. Still like flying the "Barrel". Getting out of a Saab and getting into a Lincoln.Today, my WX engine must have given me some bad temps @ altitude. I reached 60K wayyyy before any one else ( But, it was my best fuel scheduling, ever ;-) ) , and she just wanted to keep going. +1000 fpm @ FL613 and 104% on the engines just doesn't seem right. LOL! No Comment, It's one of the best things I ever did see ... I Seen this back in, I believe, in 1997, @ KOSH she took off in early morning as I just got inside the gates @ EAA.. "If you weren't awake, you are now!" SPECTACULAR! Just not enough parking,,, "Keep er tight fellas, there's more on the way." Getting the Concorde down in time is a troublesome deal ! A true art ( 3 in the cockpit vs. 1 ) . I Reverted to my pre high school algebra.. It kinda worked. HA!
