January 12, 201115 yr Ever hear of this program "Microsoft Windows Speech Recognition Macro (WSRMacro)" it works with your Windows voice recognition (MS site says its for Vista but it working for me with W7) Anyways you create voice macros for any keyboard commands that you use in MSFS, you create a voice phrase and assign a KB command and that KB command is sent when you say the phrase, Im setting up my PMDG MD11 right now and have created macros for 'Auto Flight" "Gear Up" "Pull Heading" etc etc you can create a voice macro for any keyboard command you use in MSFS.Link http://www.microsoft...44-829ae4f7c125A guy (Pavel) over at the LDS forums pointed this software out to me
January 13, 201115 yr LOL!, this sounds like a poor mans FS2crew Voice Commander, except you can use it for any plane you wish! Great idea indeed. A.J. Domingo
January 13, 201115 yr Author This is working out great, I have made plenty of Generic macros that you can use in any A/C Gear, Reset Altimeter, Arm Speedbrake, Extend Speed Brake, Flaps extend/retract, Auto Pilot on/Off, Go Around, But I have made some for my MD11 such as Auto Flight, Nav, Prof, Approach, Pull Heading etc, I already own the lds voice commander but I might make some for a Boeing style A/C like LNAV VNAN etc etc, can't believe how good this works`frees up alot of buttons on my yoke aswell, now I can use those for something else.
January 13, 201115 yr Commercial Member How does it work technically? Is it always listening or...? Noah Bryant
January 13, 201115 yr Author How does it work technically? Is it always listening or...?You use the default Microsoft Speech recoginition, this program just lets you create the Voice Macros, You open the app and there a several choices to choose from, you select the one that says Send Keystrokes, from there you choose a phrase to say like for example "Auto Pilot On" in the next line you select the KB command to send when you say that phrase like "Z" then it creates a macro for you, So when you say "Auto Pilot On" it sends that key stroke, its just like have an Auto pilot button attached to your yoke except you use your voice instead of pressing a button. you have Vista but its working fine with my W7.
January 13, 201115 yr I would really like to try this out, but for some reason in W7 I can't get the speech recognition to work. When I click "Start Speech Recognition" just nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks! :) Matt Moore Chief Pilot | Elite Airways "The Virtual Executive Airline"

Sadly after reading millions of random forum posts, I've come to the conclusion that my microphone will just never work with my setup. This sounds like something I could see myself doing, If I could. January 13, 201115 yr I tried it back in the day for another game, but the problem was it was so closely tied to basic windows commands that it was issuing more O/S commands than ingame commands. It's a neat utility, but nowhere near FS2Crew/MCE for pure flysim enjoyment. Don't suppose you have a ASUS or Gigabite MOBO with a Realtec HD audio manager software onboard do you?
