FPS limiter

Featured Replies

Hi guys, where do I download FPS limiter?Thank you,David Di Domizio

David

Hello. I have installed the fps limiter as mentioned above and started fsx through the new file. Fps unlimited in fsx and limited to 25 in the limiter. I still see the frames jump from 20-40. What could be the reason for this?
Be glad :( after installing and running the fps limiter I got a huge drop in FPS. from 20-25 to 12-15...So goodbye to the external limiter. Removed and deleted.Eric

Ericd:I agree with what you said. I made the adjustments recommeded by Ryan in NvidiaInspector, ran my fsx.cfg file through Bojote's service for tweaking and then applied the FPSlimiter not making any changes to the recommended defaults and my FPS went into the toilet quick. All the above were applied one at a time with a reboot and several flights between each one and things went bad after the FPSLimiter. My system wasn't that bad anyway with FSX but was looking to squeeze everybit out of it I could. I am content to leave it as is and would expect that it will run the 737NGX just as well as all the other PMDG products I have installed. Well on the bright side, the NGX is supposed to have somewhat better framerates than the MD-11 or 744, so if you can live with what you've got now then you should be satisfied with the NGX as well. That's how I remember it being said anyway, I could be mistaken...

Here is an alternative FPS limiter you might wish to try. No .bat file nor Java required: http://forum.avsim.n...al-fps-limiter/. It works (for me) whereas the other one didn't seem to have any effect on my system. If you experience problems with it then read the entire thread (found at the link provided) as it may contain info that might help you. Note however that it does not work in DX10 mode.

Hi,

I installed the FPS_Limiter as told in this thread. But when I click the created button "fps limiter" to open my FSX I get an error message:"......Helphooker.dll is missing." What to do now? Thank you for helping me.

Regards

Peter
