December 12, 201114 yr Author Hello,Is OpenSceneryX installed ? (http://www.opensceneryx.com/)I think that's the cause of these errors. Please note that there are some bugs with xplane10 , you will see some texture bugs on roofs, and some residential sloped houses may sink in the ground (that can be fixed by adding like 5 meters to the "minimum residential height" setting under the buildings tab)Ben
December 12, 201114 yr Thanks Ben, installing now, 2479 to go.Glen Gigabyte z590 UD - i5 11600k 4.9 GHz - 64gb 3600 MHz ram - RTX 3070 ti - multiple ssd - 34" 3440x1440 100 Hz Curved - Saitek Yoke Pedals Throttle Quadrant x2 - TM T16000m x2 Throttle - Win 11 Pro
December 12, 201114 yr Ben, Opensceneryx fixed the problem. Now I have to try and get it to look right. Only a small part of the roof is sticking out and all the trees are gone for miles around. Kind of looses the realism.Glenedit: adjusted height in Osm2xp, no difference, still only see the roof. There is no height tag on the building I made in OSM.edit2: Trees are back, it was an exclusion setting. I set the height to 15m and the building shows now but it looks more like a 3 story walkup than a residential house. December 13, 201114 yr Author You could lower the max residential height , it should work.I'll release soon an update with a xplane10 export mode.
December 20, 201114 yr Ben, still not having much luck with adding a house. I can get it to show up, but the height is not adjustable, and it doesn't look like a residential house. The picture is what I currently have. It's tagged in OSM as Building-Family house, and I have changed the min max height values in Osm2xp and it doesn't change. Also there is another building about 200' to the right of this one that doesn't show up at all, it's tagged exactly the same. The export from OSM covers both buildings with room to spare. Can you offer any suggestions.Glen Gigabyte z590 UD - i5 11600k 4.9 GHz - 64gb 3600 MHz ram - RTX 3070 ti - multiple ssd - 34" 3440x1440 100 Hz Curved - Saitek Yoke Pedals Throttle Quadrant x2 - TM T16000m x2 Throttle - Win 11 Pro
December 20, 201114 yr Author Can you pm me your operating system and an email adress?I'll send you my latest dev build wich add an xplane10 export mode that should solve that issue.

January 1, 201214 yr Author Hi Ralf,This error is related to permissions for the dsftool executable (under workspace/ressources), i'm not under linux but you should right clic/properties and add "execution" autorization or something like that.Regards,Ben
January 4, 201214 yr Ben,Have you given any thought to the possibility of having OSM2XP also import water or other landuse information to X-Plane?I noticed it only mentions street data, buildings, and perhaps some other scenery items - but nothing about water and the land itself. I understand OSM2XP is primarily designed for use with orthophotos where the water is already visable, but even then having water coded in might be adventageous for reflections and splashdowns.I say this because I've been active in Open Street Maps adding in many polygon-style rivers as well as mid-size, small, and backyard bodies of water in my area which were not represented in OSM before. If they weren't in OSM when Laminar cut the files for its scenery, I would wager they are not in XP10's default scenery either. I've also been adding and tweaking certain items such as swampland and farmland in my area to better illustrate the landuse. Is it a feature you might be able to look into including, or are there some technical hurdles which would prevent your program from being able to load in and create water bodies. (Perhaps the water information for XP is in a different "layer" of scenery than the one you have easy access to?)Just curious,-Greg
January 4, 201214 yr Author Greg,In my understanding water and land are "cut" in the dsf file , it's more mesh related than scenery related. So yes , it can be done , i'm pretty sure of it.But that would need a lot of time, and a lot more than what i can spend on it.I hope i'll be able to finish to clean the code this month, then i'll release the source code.If others devs want to help on osm2xp they are more than welcome :)Ben

March 4, 201214 yr I have a question about the way XP9 loads the scenery. Here's how my custom scenery folder looks:a_example (detailed airport scenery)b_example (OSM2XP generated scenery)c_example (Road scenery)x_example (Photo-scenery)No matter how I rename the OSM2XP scenery to change the order of loading, it always kills my airport buildings by placing autogene scenery at the airport. Any solutions?Thank you in advance.
