The fx extension should not have been disturbed.Would you please clarify what you are actually seeing when you go to your effects folder? i.e. are the names as they were - example: is Cntrl_OldFaithfull.fx still named that way?
March 2, 201115 yr I think he means he just wants to disassociate .fx files from notepad. Why I can't imagine unless there's some other type of file on his setup with .fx extension Regards, Mark

March 2, 201115 yr Hi,I would leave it alone - it makes it easy to edit other .fx files and it does no harm. Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
March 3, 201115 yr Author You are correct Opa...the extension is still .fx, simply the association when opened is now notepad. Thanks for the vector check.Rich
March 3, 201115 yr Moderator Just for future reference, you can right-click on any file and use Open With rather than Open. If you do this, you will be able to choose which app you open with, without changing your regular assignment. Fr.
