April 5, 201115 yr Hey all.First off, I love the direction Carenado has been going. Lately the new releases have been quite diverse. In saying that, I have had a craving for some old birds. I would kill for an old Stinson, Beech Staggerwing, Waco Bi-plane or a Ryan Navion! Any thoughts? PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!
April 5, 201115 yr While those are all nice aircraft, they are not what I want to see Carenado building. I want them to stick to their market and make more gorgeous contemporary General Aviation beauties. There are other companies more suited to niche antique aircraft, in fact several Waco biplanes already are available and a Staggerwing is under construction. As for the Navion, I doubt there would be enough potential sales for any payware company to invest the time and resources, but I would gladly be proved wrong. April 6, 201115 yr There are few sites that offer the same system performance/looks that Carenado does. Contemporary is nice, but they all had to start from the roots and a classic or two from Carenado would most likely go a long way for their sales. Just Saying.
April 8, 201115 yr And don't forget Spartan Executive or Baron 55/56!The other two guys :( that want a Spartan are enjoying the freeware version, but a couple more Barons and a Twin Bonanza would be good. Tom Constantine The Old Hangar http://mainescenery.proboards.com
April 8, 201115 yr I don't think that they need to make anymore Baron's, the 58 is nice and it's the best Baron that money can buy. They should move onto something else. It seems that they are working on the Beechcraft family as of now so why not make a Staggerwing or a Beech 18? I would really like to see a classic come from Carenado. You have to rememeber that there are just as many of us that prefer vintage as there are those who prefer contemporary and a classic would most likely get a lot of hits.

That being said, it is not Carenado's market and they serve their market very well. While visiting that link you may also find out that both a Staggerwing and a Beech 18 are being done by a developer who loves vintage and whose market IS vintage.
