April 24, 201115 yr You have to make wingviews yourself using fsrecorder, But I think it will be available with the feature pack that will be released. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
April 24, 201115 yr You have to make wingviews yourself using fsrecorderExactly and it is quite easy and nice in the end (though they will be just additional spot views):Plus, as Gerry wrote, modelled wing views are being considered as an option for the Feature Pack (to come some time after the FSX release).

April 28, 201115 yr Guys I am so tempted to get this plane for FS 2004, I normally fly from 2D panels and disable the VC when given the option to ensure fluid frame rates. I might make an exeption in this case. How do you think the 737 will fly on this computer Intel Core2 E8400 CPU GTX 260 GPU 4 GB Corsair C5 800mhz 500GB hard drive Generally in 2D I get a solid 49FPS (locked at 50) around 25-30 at detailed airports. I know there is a 30 day money back guarentee, but just wondered if any one has a computer of similar spec that can advise. Regards Nic Jackson
April 28, 201115 yr Nic,I have the same processor and the same amount of RAM. My graphics card is GeForce 8800T.iFly performs fine on my rig. With many HD textures, full AI, complex airports and all sliders to the right (except for shadows which are off).I used to be a 2D flyer for many years until I got iFly which made me switch to VC for ever. Performance in iFly's 2D is very good, in VC a bit worse but it always is like that. A top notch virtual cockpit just needs to eat some frames.I have locked FPS at 20 and they rarely fall below that. Only sometimes at huge mega airports with cloudy skies. If I compare it to other addons I use (like Leonardo, Fokker /2D/, Level-D or PMDG heavies), I can say performance for me is comparable when measured in FPS.Plus looks like with iFly my system is using less virtual memory compared to some of the above mentioned aircraft.I did apply the 3GB switch some time ago, so I see no OOMs.You can't go wrong with iFly.If it happens though (very very unlikely), you have the 30DMBG you mentioned yourself.Good luck! :(

April 29, 201115 yr How are your display rates in the vc?Do you mean gauge refresh rates? If so, then of course they are the same for everyone - average, as was planned by the iFly team to compromise on quality and performance (that's how they see it). While I would like to see faster display resfreshing, I feel quite comfortable with what it is like now.If you mean the FPS numbers when flying in the VC, they are as I described above - a bit lower than in the 2D (which is rather normal, I guess) but still fine, mostly sticking close to my locked 20.They're going down a bit when flying in heavy weather and/or moving around huge aerodromes, but it is like that with all my complex addon aircraft.

May 3, 201115 yr This plane actually got me to reinstall FS9 for the time being. I just got too tired of waiting for the new PMDG NGX. Been enjoying her a LOT! :( Once they release the FSX version I probably won't touch FS9 again. I gotta admit being locked at 60 FPS in the VC of an addon of this quality is nice, but when I look out the window I really do miss the higher resolution ground textures of FSX. Thankfully we can have both sims installed at the same time. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
May 4, 201115 yr Although I probably won't uninstall FS9 when the FSX version comes along, since there are still a few crackers that are unique to it such as the Supranov Yak 40, but in a similar fashion to Kiwi, to me, the iFly 737 is the aircraft for FS9 above everything else. Supposedly the FSX version of the iFly NG is due next month, so I'm looking forward to that.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
