Here is a link to an interview with someone that was sitting on a plane at the gate when the tornado struck. He said the plane actually moved a few feet.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42725966/ns/weather/

I also read that a couple of the AA airplanes had glass piled up in the engine cowlings and one other had significant damage due to "glass penetration of composite parts and tires." That's in addition to the one whose nose fell on or ran into a power cart, the 757, I believe.

Whoa! Where was the wind coming from? Did a window break or what? It looked like the walkway was a wind tunnel blowing all sorts of crap toward the people sitting in the gate area. How scary that would have been! Thanks for the link.

It definitely looks like there was a wind tunnel effect! Maybe some doors blown open or even broken windows.
