April 26, 201115 yr Strange. Then I really do not know what can be wrong. The FPS fluctuate a lot, for as far as I can see. They'd jump from 20 to 30, from 30 to 16, from 16 to 20, back to 16, etctera. They never stay as high as 30, but they do reach it. It usually just hangs around 20. LDS767 hangs around 28-30. So I'm at a loss as to what causes the low FPS... I checked the dll.xml and corrected the mess the 737 made of it upon installation - I'm not sure what else could be wrong at this point.I'm on FSX+Acceleration, Windows 7 64-bit. Maybe Acceleration is the problem?I should of said I have Acceleration, so no I don't think it could be that.
April 26, 201115 yr Just a quick response. I will do some tests and record the FPS along the way later this week for you. I am running the 737PIC version intended for win7. I have an i7-870, win-7 64 bit. using the external editor 2.0 set at 30 FPS and the drop in fps is so small I haven't brothered to pay special attention to it. I'm guessing it may be something real simple in the setup on installation to correct the hits you are getting.RayI also use acceleration. Sorry, I forgot to mention that. I'm loading it up now to take a closer look.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

April 26, 201115 yr Author Does your FPS drop more on interiior or exterior view?Interior, but that's to be expected. This is a phenomenon that I see with all my addon planes. April 26, 201115 yr Thanks for the help guys! Curious to know what you get, Ray.Starting with a solid 30 fps fixed with the ext limiter 2.0 and loading the 737PIC there is no initial drop. Using the VC mode, while in the pushback, taxi and turning it dips down to the 25-26 and back to 29 or so. Takeoff run and climbout didn't show anything lower than 25. Climbout numbers bouced around a bit as the scenery changed. The lowest dip that I saw was 19.7. Generally mine hangs around 22 - 25 on a flight at low alitude. Hope this helps. If someone will post the code for the cfg file that show low, high and average on the red numbers in the upper left, I would appreciate it. Thanks.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
April 26, 201115 yr Author How come then I'm the only body to have these low FPS... Can't be the hardware or the FSX installation since the LDS767 runs so well. Not sure where to start asking questions, honestly... And I'd rather not rebuild the FSX.cfg and do that kind of tricks since generally, FSX runs very well.EDIT: By the way, what is that 737 PIC X Helper dll doing anyway? It doesn't appear in the Addons menu inside FSX. Just be sure the window doeant touch the taskbar if its on the same monitor. Jay

I thank you for trying to help, but I really am not sure this is the way to go... My FSX installation seems to be good, since the LDS767 works well. I think I will uninstall the 737... I really don't feel like starting an investigation to get that one working. Just doesn't seem worth the trouble... I'll simply have to wait for the PMDG 737NGX or the CS737-100/200 if I want a 737. In the meantime, I'll fly the last three "old" planes I have: 757, 767 and MD-80. April 26, 201115 yr Have Wilco Airbus & Boeing in FS9 & FSX, however when changing textures or aircraft I get most of the time a CDT.Re-installed several times, same effect. Read on Wilco site that add ons are for 32bits and some FS9 aircraft are not compatible for Windows 7.Have Windows7 64 bits.and the Flightsims on a second HD.I tick the run as administrator when installing. Installing no trouble although I get a message when installing textures saying that installation possibly not correctly installed. Click on the correctly installed box.Any suggestions?
April 27, 201115 yr Author Status update: I uninstalled the Wilco 737 PIC and restored all files in the FSX folder (the one containing dll.xml, fsx.cfg etc) from a backup I made before installing the Wilco 737 PIC. I then checked to see if the FPS were still good for the LDS767, which they were. I then installed the Wilco ERJ-145 vs, and found that the FPS here weren't much better. They would start at around 30, then after to seconds go down to around 20, then after 2 seconds go back to around 30, etcetera. I then uninstalled the ERJ-145 v2, too, mostly because I didn't really like the aircraft type anyway. I then installed the PMDG 747, and the FPS were actually rather good. They tended to go down more than with the LDS767 (mostly around 27-28, occasionally going down to 20, but it wasn't noticeable if not for the FPS readout that I turned on). So as it is, I'm inclined to say that this might be a problem of feelthere aircraft in my FSX installation, as until now, only their planes seem to be affected. I will continue with the PMDG MD-11 and see what FPS that gives, and if it's still okay I'll continue adding scenery and such.
