Question about the NGX landing light

Featured Replies

I love the new style landing lights the NGX has, hence the question I am about to ask. From what I understand, these style lights are actually part of the model of the a/c, which is the reason one couldn't have purcased the Lotus L-39 or any other addon a/c that currently uses those and then ported those lights to work in their other a/c.Is there any chance that the current PMDG offerings (747, JS4100, MD-11) could get a seperate model update to incorporate the new style lights and then applied as a small download or patch? I would love to see those in the JS4100 and 747.Thanks in advance.Sean Campbell

I was going to ask the very same question, I would love to see these on my MD11, I know that moving forward means that other projects will show their age but little updates like adding these lights to an older project could breathe life into them again.

+1 for the 747-400/800, MD11, J41edit: And actually I would happily pay $25 for an "expansion pack" to the 747-400 that added the lights plus redid the exterior model (like they did with the 800) so that the 400 gets better FPS.

I think I'd rather see them fix the jagged bezel issue in the J41 with an SP2, or stamp out the last few CTD's in the MD-11 FMS. Buuuut once the NGX rolls out I'll probably forget about that.

We're sorry, but there will be no further updates to the PMDG 747-400.As for SP2 for the J41, we may consider upgrading the lighting, time permitting. No promises though.

Does this rule out the rumored remake? Or is the remake possibly the reason why there will be no more updates to the EXISTING 747?
