June 3, 201115 yr As I said before, if I had to build a new PC for FSX comming from socket 775 I'll go with SB or I'll wait for YB, for me going from what I have to the SB is not an option as I can run FSX pretty dam good, it's not perfect but almost.

You have a great chip on a good board with some memory that I don't think is available anymore. I was on a 775 about 18 months ago on DDR2 and wanted to increase bandwidth for some stutters in high demand areas. It has been quite a journey. I went against my better judgement and bought this 1156 combo because it was such a good price and I thought it would be so much better than my 775. Just recently, I have it working fairly well, (nothing like yours), by moving from 4 sticks of 1600 to 2 sticks of 2000. It made the largest difference of anything I've done, but I thought maybe I would take the 2000 back and try three of my 1600 on an X58. I just like the 1600 so much, but it looks like X58 is not the way to go. I think I will Ebay my 1156 and run the 2000 on a Sandy at 1866. Thanks for all of your information.KayDub
