Sorry about the delay, I had gone away the past few days. Thanks for looking into it anyway Fritz, it's not a big issue just a minor annoyance.-Brett
Yeah, I agree. But I do wish the clock would get fixed!Fritz

Was an update for this every released? It's been a while from the initial release.

There's no patch, per se, but Carenado told me to just download the plane again. I don't know what was fixed, I haven't gotten around to reloading it yet. :( Cheers,Fritz

Hi, I just bought and installed my 114 yesterday. First impressions: fantastic! I have a question about the rudder trim. The VC Diagram PDF specifically points out the trim knob below the panel. However, I'm unable to click it or change it in any way. This would not be an issue, but my plane seems to drift left a degree every minute or so, as if it has a heavy left wing. My fuel and loading is balanced. Perhaps this is a joystick thing, or maybe not. Anyone half any ideas on "fixing" this? Thanks,David

Is there any way or hope of a way to correct the stall spin characteristics of all the Commander. It's not a huge problem because normal flying tends for me to be generally great. After stalling though the Commader and all the Carenado planes enter a surreal world of flying characteristics, nothing like a real airplane at all. I recently stalled the Commander and it somehow ended up with nose pointing straight up and falling backwards at a high rate. No control inputs did anything, I crashed. I am a real world Cherokee 140 pilot and have never been in a Commander, but I'm sure it won't do some of the things the Carenado one does. I actually got it spinning end over end and not loosing altitude. A few add-ons have fairly realistic stall spin characteristics. It would be great if there could be a single fix applied to all the Carenado planes to make them stall and spin more realistcally. I actually love practicing IFR flights in the Commander though. I like the panel and the way it flies. I have all lot of add-on planes that I haven't flown since I bought the Commander about a month ago. It's a very good plane. It's hard to explain why. Something about looks and flight model seem real to me. I just try really hard not to stall it.

No problem but I do not have the 114 to test it afterwards, so I only had the bitmap to work with and it looked OK on the bitmap. Thanks for the picture, but when I now look at that in the plane the "garmin" do look a bit "large". It is a bit dificult to get the composition right if you dont have the plane to test with afterwards.I have made another one with a bit smaller writing and have send it off to be tested.BTW.. The "garmin" here is as it is off their official site. I just took their logo and add it here..!! So it is authentic as you can getyou can grab them herehttp://www.mediafire...der_f_blank.zip Blank, Carenado just removedhttp://www.mediafire...er_f_garmin.zip "Garmin" As in the picture abovehttp://www.mediafire...min_smaller.zip "Garmin" as in picture above but smaller writing
Hello bliksimpie,I bought the Commander and I would like to have file you done of the GPS cover, but the link says 'Invalid or Deleted File'.Could you be so kind to reactivate the link (smaller writing) or send me a copy, please.I would be very grateful.Best regards,J. Pereira

I have not found a carb heat lever anywhere and yet my carb did ice up and then did clear in response to the toggle switch on my CH throttle quad assigned to that function.

Hey Stephinder,The Commander has a fuel injected engine. The "carb icing" that you see is an FSX thing, can't be fixed, I understand. You'll just have to remember to turn the carb heat on with your keyboard when you fly the 114. :biggrin:Cheers,Fritz

Did you get it? If not get it from me HERE

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

Thanks Fritz. I thought as much. I switch carb heat and pitot heat at the same time. So I can always refer to the pitot switch position.Stephen

Hi everybody... just bought the Carenado Commander 114 and took it on a flight: EDNH->LOWI->LIPBOverall I must say that "I like it...". Very nice external look, handling feels ok, good sound.Although during my test flight I came across some glitches ( I think ...)1.) can't get this Pitch mode on the autopilot to work (as I would expect it to work ...). Pitch weel not woking at all.2.) "Pitch" Mode always switches OFF "Heading"3.) Strobes only work, if you look at the plane from exactly the front or the back. If you look at it from the side, then only the opposite strobe light seems to be working, but not the one your looking at.4.) Anti collision light is not working. There is just a "red gloom" on the rudder surface, but the light itself does not flash5.) Night flying is no fun. Cockpit is very dark when it comes to switches etc.6.) Landing/Taxi light seem to be very very weak. Can hardly see the taxiway...7.) Does anybody know how to operate the FuelScan 450 ?Lets see what else can be found ...But nevertheless ... a nice plan for me.-ernst
