got ya.My problem I discovered was due to the voice packs I added (Neospeech).once removed all worked as normal, my IVONA voice packs are working great however.

Never heard of neospeech. I see ivona voice packs are supposed to be bought separately. When I get my voxatc dvd i should also get att voices.I hope they are better than the default "anna" Nail%20Biting.gif

Akila,Thanks for the pointer to IVONA - I've installed the English voices in a 30-day trial and will see how well they play with the VoxPop voices. (And with Multi Crew Experience.)

Sampled packs of feral cats being showered with a garden hose would be better than "Anna." :(

IVONA's are great , I installed the trail pack and it was amazing, so I got a pack or two.the Internal VoxPOP voices I assigned to the AI traffic pilots and the IVONA to the ATC.(the IVONA packs show in your VoxATC pop voice panel for use, so it is very strait forward)it is so clear their speech..BTW- it was very funny your reaction on the built in "Anna" and it is sadly but true at the same time.

I loaded IVONA's Amy for my Multi Crew Experience F/O and added the 7 other IVONA voices as VoxATC controllers. They're SAPI 5 so the memory and performance load looks to be easy... plus this lets me use my VoxPop voices for the pilots.Sweet. VoxATC and MCE play well together, which they refused to do with Anna and Cepstrel voices. It'll be around 220USD for 8 IVONA voices... five American and 3 English. There looks to be two more voices in the pipeline... both Welsh-accented English (or is it English-phrased Welch??). That's a bit of money, but the per-voice costs jump up if they're not bought in bulk. I'm a sucker for "fully functional trial" software; what can I say....I may look to cut back on the VoxPop voices and reclaim some of my RAM... but their static and filter variants do sound nice as "pilot" voices.

exactly !!!! I use the IVONA for controllers (ATC) and the rest of the VoxPOP static+filtered for the Pilots , it is the wining combination.it sound a lot nice when other pilots (AI) sound like their speaking in the radio and the ATC you get clear smooth instructions.it is pretty expensive if you want a variety on IVONA voices , but it is IMO better quality voices vs the AT&T voices you get with the VoxATC DVD (I am assuming this as I installed few AT&T voices I d/l from their site) which costs not that farfrom few IVONA packs.the Only thing I couldn't quite get is, if on the DVD you get the AT&T voices as it ships from AT&T or they were processed and added the Filter/static to the voices.

Now that's really nice. You didn't even have the DVD shipped to you yet from the Avsim store and Tegwyn gave you the serial key to unlock VoxAtc 6.05. I'm sure you got version 5 from the Avsim store like I did. Me, I tried to get the upgrade and I showed proof...gave him my serial from ver 5 and Tegwyn told me to get lost!, BUY the UPGRADE! Shame on you Tegwyn. Karma will get you bro. Vic, You lucky son of a gun!

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that.I think he gave me the serial because he knew i bought his software ( I think tegwyn gets an email with your purchase details and stuff from avsim) ). Try emailing him again ?

I don't have v6 yet, but I love your idea! I'll have to keep that in mind when I get v6. BTW, there are other sites out there with SAPI TTS that don't sound too bad. I've tried the demos on Neospeech, which sounds good. And then there is another site that actually as "emotional" TTS, which I may invest in for other projects. I forget the name of the site (I have it bookmarked at home), but the demo was rather interesting. AT&T voices are okay. I've got the v5 Mike and Crystal. I'm not sure which 4 voices come with the v6 DVD deluxe.

I love flying casually in a Cessna 172 to explore, plus I love to tie it all in with creative stories. Read about my latest flight story and blog here: http://starrfoxx-flys.blogspot.com/

I tried them all, IVONA was the clearest of them all.

I hope I don't have that problem. I've got v5 also from the Avsim store. I thought it was a great deal, and it would give me a much better chance to really try out the program compared to the 7 day demo. Then again, I'm considering on getting the v6 DVD with the UK Enhancement. I don't fly in Europe yet, but eventually I will be. Plus it would be nice to have the 4 AT&T voices, compared to the 2 I have now. Anyone know what the 4 voices are? Is it Mike & Crystal and two others, or are the four voices completely new?
