July 12, 201114 yr Hi JeffG,I found the forum after digging around an using different search words. Thank you for the link. I've registered and provided the Order info they request in the registration. Just waiting on the activation now. I hate to say it, but you are mistaken. It is clearly stated in the manual that there is supposed to be an activation menu in the Add-on menu option.. It's how you activate the aircraft. The menu does not show up in my FSX Add-on menu. The menu is suposed to verify ownership by asking name, e-mail and merchant ID. It then compiles an e-mail and sends it to Ariane. Ariane is supposed to reply with a serial code that activates the aircraft, which you input back in the Add-On menu. I've got no such Ariane Add-on menu. Only FSUIPC and FSInn are in my Add-on Menu.Regards, -DamienYou are right there is the activation menu where you send in your code and another to add in the activation code. The program will also ask you to restart FSX if the code sent works. July 12, 201114 yr Ariane has finally responded to an e-mail I had sent. Turns out there are conflicts between FSInn/FSCopilot and this software. Once I had removed FSInn and FSCopilot, the menu items have finally popped into place. -Damien Damien Furtman Hovering Hellion
July 14, 201114 yr and as an update, I've received my activation today. Aircraft flies beautifully.. no noticeable hard hit to FPS. Wish I could edit my original post in this thread. -Damien Damien Furtman Hovering Hellion
August 14, 201114 yr I am thinking to get adriane 737-c40, but by the soud of it, it may be better to stick with pmdg. Can anyone tell me what is FPS??many thanksken
August 14, 201114 yr Hi Ken FPS is Frames Per Second. An easy way to see your current FPS is to press Shift+Z a couple of times during FSX and your current rates will show (along with your lat/long position). Pressing the keys again will turn that dialog off. Before getting the Ariane product, I'd seriously consider the alternatives - the iFly is loads cheaper and has good reviews. The PMDG NGX is the 'ultimate' and again, much much much better value for money than Ariane's product. What's more, it works 'straight out of the box', offers everything Ariane offers and a lot more besides, updates (support) is ongoing and free, and I'm sure it won't be long before there's a C40 paintjob. ...Your choice of course, but a little research here at Avsim on Ariane (and its history) may open your eyes a little more. Toni.
