Scandi did you solve your sound issue? I had the same thing happen to me today. I was in mid flight and out of no where, the sounds of FS2crew stopped all together. The FO did respond to my commands but he never responded. Neither did the FA's, however ALL the other sound in FS9 and rc4 continued like nothing happened.

Yep, ive had the same problem as well.The first time it happened i lost all sound when i started the "Pre Flight Checklist", and the same happened to me as what happened to 'aaron avtr', that being the F/O continued with his duties, just without the sound.I continued on with the flight, and when i came back for the descent after around an hour and a half, the sound returned when i tried the descent brief just before descent, but replayed everything up to that point including briefs etc. In other words all voice actions since the "Pre Flight Checklist" up to the point of the "Descent brief" played until the descent, which was annoying because i must have pressed the Departure Brief 6 times trying to get it to work, and yep, it replayed 6 times!!! It happened again today which is how i found this thread, this time i didnt bother continuing with the flight. Andy

Hi Byork,The only consistent point i can think of is turnaround.Both flights were when starting the second leg of a trip.However i will have to conduct more flights to see if this is indeed the trigger, yet unfortunately im flying back to work tomorrow and will be away for a week so it will have to wait until then.Scandinavian, do you use RC4, ive noticed Aaron does and so do i, is there a possible conflict?Thanks,Andy

I think 'pausing' may be the issue. That would make sense and would explain why you get a ton of sounds all playing at once once you unpause.Everyone please let me know if 'pausing' is the issue. If it is, it's an easy fix probably.Cheers,

Try re-assigning your 'Pause' key in FSX/FS9.Another user said that fixed a similar sound issue for him.

Hi all!I have been a bit distracted the last two weeks, you see my dad broke his neck and I haven't flown since then. Today I flew though and of course the same problem appears. I have no idea why this keeps happening, I've tried to update my sound card, use different ones but nothing seems to fix my problem.:( By the way, thankfully my dad survived and his not paralized.:( /Jonathan

Hi Jon,Glad your dad is okay.Did you try the 'pause' key idea. Are you pausing the sim at all?

Thanks for your concern about my dad.:( During the first flight I paused sometimes, the problem occurs during this flight. I just flew a perfect flight, a second flight without any pausing, no problems here!!!! I hope this is it, I will keep you updated about further flights.:(
