today i was going to do a flight with the qw757. before i even got to the runway fsx crashed and automatically restarted (did not even ask). then i got this screen message that i had never seen before. also another window saying i would need smart-something installed. never heard of either but unfortunately i clicked it away.on the taskbar you can see (at the right) that the message was actually an application ("instances"). did i catch something on my system???any help appreciated!

I believe that comes from Ultimate Traffic, and I thought it is a warning to reboot your computer after a crash.

It it turns out not to be UT related, it sure has the look of malware. You might want to give this free utiltiy a try just to be sure:http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Yes, it's from UT2 like Geof said.Sometimes when you shut FSX down the UT2 process might not end as it should, then when you start FSX the next time, if the UT2 process never restarted you will get that message. It's nothing to be alarmed about however, mine does it every now and then as well. You can shut down FSX and reboot, or even simpler, you can shut down FSX and open your task manager and find the UT2 process and "end" it. Then when you start FSX again UT2 will restart like it should.Personally, rahter than take the time to reboot I prefer to just open the task manager and find the process there and kill it and start FSX again than reboot the rig. However a reboot every once in while is not a bad idea either. On a side note, when you get the stop sign message, you can still fly in FSX but the UT2 traffic will never appear until you follow the steps above.

No its UT2. You can find the info on it in the registered UT2 forum. Not to worry its not malware.

Yes it's from UT2 nothing to do with mallware lolJust a warning that after a crash and starting-up FSX to fast the process isn't ended...No need to reboot but go in task manager and just end the UT2 process and then start-up FSX again all works fine :(
