Milviz T-38A out!

Here is another one with some great T38 shots at Vance AFB in Enid Ok. We used to call it Enid by the sea.
It still is called "Enid by the sea," which has to be among the more novel nicknames for a base! The Air Force keeps their end of the affection going. They have put EN on the tails of the Vance aircraft -- for Enid, Oklahoma!Truth be said, the people who live in Enid are awfully proud to have that Air Force base there training pilots. I'm thinking Holy War would break out if anyone tried to close it!Ken

Actually "EN" is for "Euro-NATO", the ENJJPT program run by the 86th FTW at Sheppard AFB TX. Vance's (71st FTW) tail flash is "VN"That said, Enid would be in serious hurtin' shape...or should I say MORE serious hurtin' shape, if Vance were ever to close. And more trivia...Laughlin AFB is also referred to as "Laughlin by the Sea," which is slightly more accurate because they at least have Lake Amistad! :D
