July 15, 201114 yr Purchased your MD-11 from Amazon! It's so good, I cannot see myself going to sleep tonight You can hold the NGX for another month or so....
July 15, 201114 yr Author Yup! I'm going through the manuals now!Betty wouldn't leave me alone when I took her up the first time! LOLThe thing that amazes me, for the aircrafts 'age' it is VERY technically updated, I would of not realized that from just looking on the external! Amazing work PMDG, if this is what the MD-11 is like, the NGX, must be a black hole.It runs great on my PC! I feel much confident.
July 15, 201114 yr It's a beautiful aircraft, and plus Fs2Crew a fantastic experience. Matias SorcinelliCHECK MY CHANNEL!!! - http://www.youtube.com/user/masneoquil
July 15, 201114 yr I bought her the other day, looks amazing but have yet to take her out for a spin! Definately going to keep me busy until the NGX. July 15, 201114 yr Still my favorite, but that should change soon *wink wink). However I can easily say I have put the most hours into that aircraft (MD-11) than any other. Jay Vorkapic
July 15, 201114 yr The MD-11 is the best aircraft in my FSX hangar... The simulation is excellent... there's always a "catch" to every addon it seems, and the MD-11 has none that I've been able to identify.Beyond that, I just like the MD glass cockpit... I find the FMS and AFS to be more intuitive than some of the others that I've tried, and not just because PMDG actually makes it work properly. I don't know, I just like it better than the systems in the other aircraft I fly.It makes me wish PMDG would do a 717 so I could use the MD glass cockpit for short-haul flights... I would imagine there would be at least a solid head start on some of the programming in such a project. Not sure how many people would actually be interested in that, considering the 717 never really caught on much outside of FL. But then neither did the MD-11, really. Both aircraft were victims of some pretty bad timing. Jack DeMarre Just an earthbound misfit My Current Flight Sim Setup: She ain't much to look at, but she's got it where it counts. July 15, 201114 yr I too bought just a week ago and am just stunned by the level of aivionic technology in this aircraft considering when it was first introduced. The other thing that i noticed was its handleability when flown manually. Assuming both the PMDG 747X and the PMDG MD-11 are accurately (As possible) modelled airodinamically, the MD-11 seems easier to handle than the queen imho. Rick Hobbs

July 15, 201114 yr MD11 is brilliant its the only aircraft i fly since geting FSX nearly 3 years ago. Imagine how awesome the NGX is going to be. Jeff Blyth MD11 J41 747 NGX . . awaiting 777 !!!
July 15, 201114 yr I agree. I love the MD11 and from flying it, I can see why so many cargo carriers are still holding on to it. I always think of it as being in between a Boeing and an Airbus.I can't imagine the NGX being any better than this beautiful MD11, but PMDG keeps saying that it is and I'm leaning more toward believing them by now, so I'll take their work for it.:( Bob Robert Yunque
July 16, 201114 yr I always think of it as being in between a Boeing and an Airbus.Yeah, the FMC seems to be in between the two. July 16, 201114 yr The MD-11 is one of my favorite planes as well, both for FSX and in the real world. She looks great and I love the cockpit. Its so clean and simple, and everything works in a logical way. I like the philosophy much much better than what Boeing puts out. Johan Pettersen
July 16, 201114 yr Yeah if I ever become a commercial pilot I would choose the MD-11 over any other aircraft (if i had the choice) LoL
