July 19, 201114 yr Hi, forgive me, but while I completely respect your opinion, why on earth would reflections on your monitor scrteen not be a problem?? July 19, 201114 yr HelloReflective screens must be the worst idea for a computer screen.when I went looking for a Laptop the computer store had dozens of models on display and every one had a reflective display. They were all just about unreadable under the stores lighting, just madness.I went on Ebay and bought an IBM T42 with a lovely matt IPS 15" screen at 1400/1050 , totally readable.Looks like until this fad runs its course I am stuck with buying business laptops as they still seem to have matt screens. But the relective glass does raise the contrast on poor quality panels so that may be the reason for them.
July 19, 201114 yr I dunno, I think for a desktop situation glossy looks better if you have no light glare issues. For a mobile laptop I can see where flat can be an advantage. I have glossy on both and have no issues whatsoever, but bright cool screens, not dull and flat! Hp, dell sell glossy btw. Its all down to taste and what you plan on using it for. Simon
July 19, 201114 yr I always respect other people's opinions, but for the life of me I cannot see one single reason why someone would want to have a reflective screen?? Unless of course they are more interested in the way it looks than for the very purpose they bought it for in the first place? I bit like buying a hi-fi system and being more interested in the silver knobs and led lights rather than what it sounds like HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
