Ooooo, me too, never had a Saitek yoke before, but any kind of detent in the elevator axis would be a deal breaker for me.Since they seem to be advertising to flight schools as well on their cessna page at their site, hopefully they've left any 'detent features' off this build. Chris

Agree. That detent issue is all I'm waiting on to pull the trigger on this purchase. I'm really hoping it's gone since my savings account would appreciate the Saitek vs the PFC which I'll have to do otherwise ;)

If you do go pfc be aware they can bind a bit in the elevator access when flying one handed_which for me was unacceptable on my cirrus model.Traded it up for the jetliner model which felt much better.Course this was five years ago so maybe they improved the cirrus models since then hopefully.

Good to know, thank you! I definitely want something that's easy to fly one-handed: I've always been taught two hands is a no-no! :)

Re the PFC yokes. I've had a PFC Cirrus SAAB desktop for two years now & can only say the elevator has been silky smooth at all times. Binding was a pet hate of mine with previous yokes I had including the Saitek. Hope they have fixed it on this latest model as flying one handed is certainly what I was taught to do as one hand should be on the throttle in case it is required in a hurry. A smooth elevator movement certainly helps to flare in the sim for a nice touchdown! Cheers, Ross

Well, cant afford PFC stuff so I will stick with my trusty CH products. :) I got a chance to see the Saitek stuff when it came out before the Seattle AVSIM show......looks nice, but from what everyone has said still not same quality and QC as the CH products.

Ok thats good to know.They've had a few niggles in the past.On my SAAB Jetliner the left side dual toggles came loose and wiggled.Finally they quit working, and when I pulled the toggles completely out, the soldering job looked like it had been done by a three year old.Upon contacting PFC with the issue, Kim there said they had farmed out some of their work to the local ROP students in town, and those students hadn't been properly instructed in soldering technique!Instead of offering to pay freight and properly soldering in a new toggle, the best they could do was send me a new toggle, and luckily I do have soldering skills.I was a little bummed as this was a 900.00 purchase. Remember this is 5-6 years ago however, pre-usb versions, and I was one of the first adopters of the then new jetliner .I'm sure they've worked through some of the issues this past half decade or so. I'm really hoping the desktop units indeed have been re-engineered with 100% bind free operation.The Cirrus Beech is a very sexy looking yoke, and a lot cheaper than the flightlink AV-B, and ultimately the Beech yoke is what I'd prefer.I'll be swinging by both PFC and Flightlink for a hands on lookse in the near future when I'm in No.Cal. to visit my family.Still interested to hear some 1st reports though of the new Saitek Cessna.PFC will upgrade any of their yoke units with a real Cessna yoke for a mere 1595.00 US btw :)

As I said earlier too, Saitek's newer Combat Rudder Pedals are fantastic and much different in quality than the previous Saitek and CH pedals so I'm hoping that their new yoke has a similar upgrade in quality.

Roger that.I'm just wondering when the new Saitek are actually going to ship.The 22nd has come and gone and it seems like no one actually has the new Pro Flight Cessna Yoke. Chris

It looks like there's a couple shops online selling it according to Google: GameShark and East Luna. They're selling it at full retail, though. Hopefully soon Amazon will get it.

Hello ! What kind of sensors are inside this product ? Potentiometers ? What's the precision/resolution and latency ? Would you buy a mechanical mouse with a 8 dpi sensor, or a monochrome CRT monitor with a 50Hz refresh rate ? The shape of the case is not the most important feature for me. I have the same problem with CH Products: where are the specifications ? For most computer peripherals, even good joysticks, we know we're no more in the 80's. Now we can find sustainable sensors like lasers, optical or magnetic sensors with high resolutions, fast refresh rates and a very low latency. But what about yokes ? Are we still in the 20th century ? I wish they would release new products, not only a new shape for their cases.

i am sick of my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke. It has come down with a problem with the Z Axis after having its HAT switch fixed which isn't fixed.

not so super high quality pots and trim pots in the throttles :)
