Good guess.

????I have it on good authority that flight will run well on the Sinclair Spectrum 16k (Probably better if you DO use the 48k model though)Flight will come on 257 separate microdrives for ease of installation and your playing enjoyment.Nice of MSoft to make FLIGHT backwards compatible for us users of Pre-history hardware.AndyThe ears on Msoft

That statement makes me wonder why a DX9 video card would be allowed? If MS is going forward by mandating Vista or Win 7, wouldn't a mandate to DX10 or higher also be called for?

Also for those XP users I'm sorry to say FLIGHT wont work on XP. Just Vista/ Win 7 and Win 8
Can you point out on the Microsoft Flight site, where Microsoft makes this statement?Regards, Mike Mann

I'd be willing to bet Windows 7 64Bit is the optimum way to go versus 32Bit. It might not work on 32Bit.

Dude are you saying that people need to upgrade there PC to DX10 or more just to play the game. DX9 is still huge. Even Crysis 2 one of thos GPU killer games allows DX9. And that DX9 is for minimum specification to run the game on the lowest settings.
First, neither my name nor my nickname for forums is "Dude".Second, you are the one pontificating on something, with apparently little to no supporting information. But if your speculation is to be (somehow) believed and Flight will require Vista or Win 7, why wouldn't the game require hardware that supports features in either of those operating systems? DirectX 9 has been around since 2002. Don't you think if Microsoft is going to advance the game into newer technology that they might leave this 9 year old stuff behind and require DirectX 10 hardware?Just seems a little silly that a nVidia FX5200 would run Flight, what with how MS has positioned the game for today's computers.

hehe .. the word dude made you mad ... :LMAO:Just so you know, dude is a generic term often used when addressing both genders.

I was indoctrinated into the term a long time ago when my teenage nephew and friends were always "Dude-ing" each other. :( I also prefer the gender specific Dude and Dudette... :(

Wow... :( B) The things people get offended about. I'd be 'somewhat' understanding if this was a woman offended by 'Dude' but the username is 'meshman', that's just plain idiotic... B)

this is an estimation based on calculations from several Flight related sims like "IL-2 sturmovik cliffs of dove"r which just came out on july 19th and other games that came out around or in 2011
It's not a good comparison to compare IL-2 to a flight simulator that represents an entire world.

AI Traffic blocks are 140 square miles. Weather is downloaded and injected for the ENTIRE world.

yes but for the AI its the CPUs job to calculate that and the team has said that you need at least a dual core CPU to run it. For thr weather how ever its downloaded when you are in that area or around it.
Where has it said that?
