I am going to do something Marcelo has not done, I only used his textures to see if there was any interest in this style of painting.

Hey guys, what causes the wing inserts to have this checkered pattern? Ray

When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Open up your psd file and turn off all the layers below the layer you painted your decal on, only your paint should be visible, so when you flatten the file it looks white except for your text. Does that make any sense?

Soon ... (more opaque and more details) sinttuloyq9wy.jpg

Richard, I would like to see how your photo real updates look compared to the original. How about uploading just the Tail.dds which will have both the tail and engines for us to evaluate. I seldom look at the wing details while flying. but I do look at the engine cowlings and vertical stablilizer. Looks like a very neat project. Ray
Richard, I withdraw my request for a posting of the photo real tail texture. I thought you had the owner's permission to modifiy his original work. Until you do, I personally don't think you should be posting your work on top of his. Thanks. Ray

Yes, except I didn't do the work. Just installed it. Ray

I was not modifying his work as mine I can do my own it was a post to see if there was interest in me doing future projects in a photoreal style, thats all I will just keep them to myself no big deal, I have known Marcelo for some time now and thought He would understand just trying to make a point, I guess not.

Oh...I see. Well, the author will need to fix it. It's a layer that should have been turned off prior to flattening. I don't think you'd be able to change it if it's already been converted to a .dds.

I do not touch the wings on the repaint CANJET, it is the default

Well I was interested Richard, there are so many ways to skin this cat, we're all learning. And please can we not get too precious about ownership here, we're all building on the work of others in one way or another. We'll all advance much faster if we share what we rediscover (it's all been done before, most of it also in tutorials done by people with a generous nature if not in the original FSX SDK documantation)If the original work is significantly part of the outcome, just acknowledge the oiginal properly.

Yes John, If it is true that sharing is good, in fact I have no problem doing, but I asked you before.I must be wrong. I have shared 23 Repaints without asking anything in return. If I withdraw my behavior upset the forum and no more annoying.I hope you understand because I speak Spanish and use the translator Greetings and luck!

Sorry Marcelo I don't quite understand the 'but I asked you before' Also maybe the rest looses a little in translation, I hope, very much hope you are not upset by anything I said, that was not my intent. You are perfectly entitled to put any caveats you like on your work. It is just my position that when I publish something on a freeware site, I'd be happy for anyone to use that for anything as long as no money is involved Apologies again if I offended you Marcelo... and your English is better than my Spanish - hola! thats it :) OMG I hope this translates well :)
