July 28, 201114 yr Alex, I agree.FSKneeboard is very cool. Im hopefully Noah will update it immediatley after release with NGX checklists! Peter Osborn
July 28, 201114 yr +1 For FSKneeboard. I have the iPad 2 and I love it for so many things, however i still prefer the physical manuals. Just a personal opinion, and to each their own. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
July 28, 201114 yr Guys- I recommend using a second monitor if the ipad2 is not an option. I have my PC set up with a second monitor and use it exclusively as a n EFB. Its lil bit cheaper. Idk. Printing them is ok, but I remind you most airlines are going the paperless route. Peter Osborn

NGX pdf's on there would be a great bonus. I'll probably get myself a 27" lcd and use my existing 22" for my EFB via my laptop. The laptop has a nice big screen and works ok but ... no need to explain. Jon Preston
July 28, 201114 yr Also highly recommend an IPad 2 for manuals. Its absolutely brilliant. I have pdf manuals, checklists on mine. And its a godsend.Just like printed manuals, its very easy and convenient to pick up, open up a book (digitally) and flip through the pages.but it wins over the paperbacks because searching capabilities and compactness. There something to be thought about how much the printed manuals cost (including shipping), to the cost of a tablet. Andy Knight
July 28, 201114 yr You know... everyone keeps saying iPad 2... You can get fairly cheap tablets that run android and do the same thing... the money you save, you can also buy the printed manuals... Just sayin' -Warren Soeldner Warren Soeldner (AKA MTN385, FSAviator) B737NG-SIM.COM
July 29, 201114 yr I have all the printed manuals for the 737 from PMDG and I would 100% recommend them to you. The QRH is a must have in my eyes. I also use volume 1 alot for checklists and aircraft performance e.g. takeoff speeds, etc

July 29, 201114 yr How are we looking on the release of the tutorial? I know that the Boeing manuals will be with the software but what about releasing the PMDG manual for the setting up and the general use of the aircraft? JeffG Jeffrey Gerbert
July 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member The tutorial's probably going right down to the wire - maybe the day before release or something like that. Every time something changes I have to retake screenshots, rewrite certain sections etc. There's been a couple fairly major late-changes in the past few days. July 29, 201114 yr Thanks Ryan, I will be on vacation but will be hauling the laptop against the wife's opinion. We will not be home till the 13th of Aug and I can't wait that long to fly the new 737. JeffG Jeffrey Gerbert
July 29, 201114 yr Yes, true, but the "feeling" of having a printed manual...I don't know how to describe it, I just like it much more that way ;) Airlines are now quickly moving away from cockpit paper to EFB. Regards, Opher Ben Peretz
