July 30, 201114 yr Hi Folks, First time Posting and/or publishing something on the AVSIM Forums. (although I am reading the PMDG forums frequently)you guys probably heard that question something like a million times, but I'll ask it anyways because the NGX Will be not only the first PMDG Product that I am going to use but its also gonna be the first Add-on I am buying for my sim (Not including yoke+pedals). currently I am flying a very accurate model of the C172P (Made by a man called Tomer Haim), and with it I have learned the Secrets of Visual flying and Instrument Flying.because,as I said, the NGX will be my first PMDG product and payware add-on I want toi make sure that my rig will handle this baby properly.my specs are: Intel Core i5 750@ 2.66GHzPATRIOT 4GB DDR3 1333MHz of RAMATI Radeon HD4870 1GB GDDR5W/D 500GB Hard driveW7 Ultimate 64Bit Thank you for your attention, and I will be happy to become a member of the PMDG Family at AUG04 if it will be possible from PMDG's side (and mine's )Noam Levi.(BTW Sorry for Grammar faults and stuff )

July 30, 201114 yr Author I wish I could. Cooling + Case sucks, and right now my money is going to the NGX (its going to be pretty expensive in local money haha, but worth it )
July 30, 201114 yr You'll be fine as long as you're not too aggressive on autogen, traffic & such. At least one of the testers is running it on an i3 & none of them have complained about framerates or stutters. Yeah, they have guys with not so fast machines in mind and try to make the NGX as frame rate friendly as they can. And they´re PMDG, they can do eveything! :Big Grin:If they could programm it, the caffee maker would do like adviced! Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
July 30, 201114 yr Author Thank you for the fast comments, after you guys making me happy and confident that I can run the NGX and still maintain good quality I will surly buy it. now its just waiting as all to AUG04. (and find a creative way to make the days go by until than)
July 30, 201114 yr I`m running the spec in my signature file except the motherboard, which will hopefully change on Monday to a FoxConn board. This and less copes admirably with FSX at pretty good settings, though theirs always room for improvement. I`ve managed with less, had pretty good graphics and some WOWS when posting pics in the JF Forum. The NGX is a relatively unknown quantity though but I have faith that PMDG have programmed her after taking in mind several levels of machine specs. Though it may not look and operate top notch when run on a lesser machine than the popular i7`s I`m sure it will still look pretty darned good and have a degree of manouvreability when set with some common sense settings. I have no worries here and you should not with yours either. I haven`t been let down with my specs so far.....
July 30, 201114 yr Author Steve, saw you are running the J41,heard its pretty much eating FPS. from your comment I can now be relaxed. thank you.
July 30, 201114 yr Steve, saw you are running the J41,heard its pretty much eating FPS. from your comment I can now be relaxed. thank you. Yes, I was suprised at the comments. No problem at all running the J41 here. I have fairly good settings and FPS is never a problem but then I keep the same tune up regime all the time. I also maintain traffic at 30% or less but with this chip upped it to 50% and saw no difference. I realise I could have 100% traffic with a better system (though I cannot afford that) but really with the amount of aircraft in the package 30-50% is ample. Even with lesser machines FPS has never been a problem apart from a certain 757 but killing 2 guages soon sorted that. I think its all in the way you set your store out, sensible settings and decent aircraft. I never get OOM errors either as long as I run the USERVA command and increase the Virtual Memory to the max advised by Windows. I`ve had full enjoyment from FSX and all my planes. Which on a 32 bit version of Vista is not bad at all. Look forward to the NGX and don`t worry, I`m not. I still have a full build on a new mobo to do, then testing, and looking forward to it too, thats before the NGX gets here.
July 31, 201114 yr I'm sorry for "stealing" your topic, but don't want to start another one. Will my system work? As you see, I am going to replace the GPU, I have chosen an IceQ Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 The rest is in the signatue, i hope.
