  1. I had to install the program on a new hard-drive. I resent an email to get my activation key updated 48 hours ago still no response. Thanks you
  2. Also keep in mind Rex interpolates weather. What this means is if your at a field it does not have Metar information for, it will take the weather at two different weather sites and through magical wizardry come up with a theoretical weather scenario to fill the gaps, What this also means is even though KPCR metar showed clear below 12k REX weather still interpolated and threw some clouds in there. Sometimes REX guess right sometimes it guesses wrong However this logic is flawed, because if your flying from one area to the next your going to see weird results like clouds popping up out of nowhere radical wind shifts and unexpected visibility changes. why? Because REX has to first delete a weather station and download the new station then interpolate the dead space between the two stations, think of a two circles that do not overlap Opus will take RAW METAR data and depict it in an accurate way within FSX, no matter where you are it constantly updates metar information from every station in a 300 mile radius. So what you have is overlapping zones and no funky random weather changes
  3. Ok cool thanks for responding
  4. What triggers a through flights?. I tried setting the panel up for short turn and then running the secure aircraft checklist. When i ran PF events the F/O still goes through the first flight of the day flows. In the real world sometimes you receive the aircraft after the last flight crew and we do whats called a receiving aircraft checklist. This is actually just an expanded shutdown checklist. What the departing flight crew does is reset the panel to what it would be on the first flight of the day then hand the plane over to the engineers. The incoming crew runs the receiving aircraft checklist. then starts the normal pref-fight procedures. Why is this not modeled in Fs2crew. If i start a flight at 11am in the morning 8/10 times that aircraft has already flown at least 1-2 legs that day so the full Pre-flight system test items do not have to be done. I guess my question is can we get a receiving aircraft checklist that will trigger the captain to say something along the lines of lets set up for the next sector or next leg? Without having to do an entire flight I'm OCD about these things it just bugs the heck out of me when i start up a flight at 8pm and and the F/O is doing a TCAS and over speed warning test
  5. I played around with the suggestions you made and mouse look still does not seem as natural as EZDOK. When switching views and panning using the FSX pan mode the view jumps all over the place. If at all you can provide a mouse pan feature please do..
  6. I wil ltry these methods thanks Cheryl
  7. Increase the hat switch pan rate...or allow us to pan by holding down the middle mouse button like EZDOK. I don't know how that simple feature was missed but since this program is so damn awesome i'm going to let you guys slide on this one
  8. The program is so small and obscure u don't even know it's working it installs and updates weather without a hiccup i swear it's amazing guys trust me!. It never touched my FSX folder also if you have EZDOK like myself u can disable or enable the program all from within FSX
  9. Shot an RNAV approach into TNCM last night vis was spot on at 3.1nm i actually started sweating until i broke out and saw the runway at 780 feet!
  10. 5 stars is not enough fatback...oh and please make sure you sign your post. with your name
  11. I never wrote a review in my life but the sheer awesomeness of this program compels me to write one. Hands down this is the addon of the year. Opusx just delivers on so many levels and everytime you fire it up its the gift that keeps on giving. First of the program is light. When I first downloaded the program I though, hey is this it? Man oh Man was I wrong. There are no fancy graphics or buttons, no bells nor whistles it looks like something a novice programmer would build just to test his C++ skills. However as simple as it may look it runs circles around any weather addon on the market. Combined! When I say weather is spot on I mean its spot on. It's so accurate I looked out my office window and the weather was spot on. I was coming in for an approach into MCO weather was reported as MVFR on approach I could see the OC layer and as i hit it pure ifr all the way down to about 1k. As a real pilot nothing is sweeter than seeing the runway after breaking through a cloud deck until now that experience could not be created in fsx To add while it updates weather you don't even know its there the program is so unobtrusive I forgot it was activated. Secondly when you move from area to area you can still see the weather you left behind. I departed MCO with broken clouds at 2500. When I got to the VRB vor it was reporting few clouds, now in active sky the weather engine would clear weather flicker as it updates and then display VRB weather thus deleting MCO weather. Well NO MORE with opusfsx I looked back at Orlando and saw it was still heavily clouded even while VRB was reporting few clouds Bottom line the program is amazing hands down grab it NOW i don't care if you have to borrow the money. It's a must have program for any serious flight sim enthusiast
  12. the FAA requires that a pilot do all recurrent training and check rides in a level D full motion sim...PMDG if they want to spend that kind of money can do that but is it worth it? Probably not..Will PMDG be a licensed cockpit prep tool maybe but there is a process that needs to be done for that to happen. I'm sure that most Check pilots and instructors recommend the program. Just like my flight instructor recommended FS9 when i did my instrument rating
  13. Thanks Ryan and Alex i will try this 2night
  14. Sure i will do a quick search Nope i didn't make any changes instead of setting the center tanks to 0 i set it for 1000 and plane rotated like she always did before nice and smooth..CG was nominal and in range Thanks for taking the time to offer a solution. i thought that was the case at first but the slew message did not show and sound was still active. As you know the sound gets deactivated after slew mode is enabled... i have tested this issue some more the situation only occurs when the center tanks are set to 0 using the pmdg load manager during pre-flight.. Normal fuel drain to 0 does not trigger the erratic flight behavior on takeoff or during normal cruise flight...
  15. i'm using a Saitek x52 throttle and Logitech x30 joystick.....no other add on except for scenery stuff and My Traffic X.....FMS with only performance data entered (IE i was doing pattern work)...this problem just cropped up out of nowhere it's as if a module on the aircraft broke or something.. I also tried a diff aircraft takeoff's were smooth as butter, shut down and restart FSX switched to the PMDG NGX same issue... I also start the plane in 2D panel view like the FS2crew manual states Issue resolved apparently either FSX or the NGX does not like when you take off with the center tanks at 0...
  16. I have been flying the NGX since release and this is the first time i have ever had an issue with it. I do have SP1C installed latest AIRNAC file and FS2crew SP1 installed.... I configure the aircraft for take-off as i always do W/B are within limits trim set for take-off. I advance the throttles advance through V1 at VR i rotate. That's when all hell breaks loose the aircraft does a back flip and spins out of control violently on all axis ... for about 15-30 sec and then hits the ground crashing???? no matter how many times i restart it still continues to happen..
  17. ETOPS is such a broad specification the main premise of ETOPS is to make sure that any aircraft that has one ore more engines is capable of flying extended distances on one engine. there are several ways a carrier can achieve this and how they achieve it depends on the certificate they apply for there is ETOPS-75, ETOPS-90 ETOPS-120/138 ect.The most basic requirement is what PMDG included the duel battery and the extra fire suppression, ETOPS aircraft also carries a separate MEL which sets forth the minimum equipment needed to conduct the flight under ETOPS rules.
  18. DAAAAAAAMMMMM. Thats how it's done Robert you should def run for congress again...Imagine if you go a hold of our budget..
  19. Im pretty sure the sounds and heat blur are post production add-ins
  20. lmao +1 The United States CIA want's their computer back
