April 11, 201214 yr I have been flying the NGX since release and this is the first time i have ever had an issue with it. I do have SP1C installed latest AIRNAC file and FS2crew SP1 installed.... I configure the aircraft for take-off as i always do W/B are within limits trim set for take-off. I advance the throttles advance through V1 at VR i rotate. That's when all hell breaks loose the aircraft does a back flip and spins out of control violently on all axis ... for about 15-30 sec and then hits the ground crashing???? no matter how many times i restart it still continues to happen.. April 11, 201214 yr Author i'm using a Saitek x52 throttle and Logitech x30 joystick.....no other add on except for scenery stuff and My Traffic X.....FMS with only performance data entered (IE i was doing pattern work)...this problem just cropped up out of nowhere it's as if a module on the aircraft broke or something.. I also tried a diff aircraft takeoff's were smooth as butter, shut down and restart FSX switched to the PMDG NGX same issue... I also start the plane in 2D panel view like the FS2crew manual states Issue resolved apparently either FSX or the NGX does not like when you take off with the center tanks at 0... April 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member That shouldn't be it, actually. Mine is fine when the tanks are 0 in the center. This issue has been brought up before, and has been resolved, but I don't remember what it was in the end (didn't affect me). Perhaps a quick search of the forums is in order. Kyle Rodgers

Sure i will do a quick search Have you made any changes using the load manager? Is the CG ok? Nope i didn't make any changes instead of setting the center tanks to 0 i set it for 1000 and plane rotated like she always did before nice and smooth..CG was nominal and in range Sounds like slew is getting enabled, make sure you havent assigned your gear to the command 'y' Thanks for taking the time to offer a solution. i thought that was the case at first but the slew message did not show and sound was still active. As you know the sound gets deactivated after slew mode is enabled... i have tested this issue some more the situation only occurs when the center tanks are set to 0 using the pmdg load manager during pre-flight.. Normal fuel drain to 0 does not trigger the erratic flight behavior on takeoff or during normal cruise flight... Jamal Pratt Eastern Operations Manager| www.legend-virtual.org

Most flights don't touch the Center tanks Try reinstalling the ngx, back up your aircraft configs [related to liveries] Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
April 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member 99% of the flights I do have 0 in the center tanks, I doubt it's that... Uninstall your liveries with the manager and then delete the aircraft.cfg files - run the SP1c install again and it should replace them with the originals. I'll bet something's corrupt in them. April 11, 201214 yr I think you will find it could be a cross between two different hardware's .... can i ask why you use two different types of hardware and not just one my friend... Try this... go to this path.. Local hard drive. / users / your name / app data / roaming / microsoft / FSX / controls / ... then inside this folder delete the standard XMLfolder... restart FSX and run the calibration settings for your hardware via fsx..... let me know
April 12, 201214 yr Does this happen only at one certain airport, or does this happen no matter what airport you try to takeoff from?
April 13, 201214 yr It acts like this?: If yes, it could be due to both irs aligned in ATT mode on ground and a bug partially (90%) fixed by pmdg guys. After sp1a or b I tried it again (or it was during an inflight irs att alignment on both irs) and got the problem again. I'm out for honeymoon and on the netbook I cannot check it. Align the IRS in the correct way (NAV) and if it was the problem, it will disappear. Regards Andrea Daviero
April 13, 201214 yr What about your joystick sensitivity? That could affect the takeoff pitch as well. 0 in the center tanks is not the issue. I've taken off many times with empty center tank without issues. Teofilo Homsany
