July 31, 201114 yr Appreciation goes a long way, that's all i was trying to do. No offence but it's upsetting that people have to pick fault with a perfectly honest post. don't worry about it, i have discovered that as much as i love Flight-Sim and guys like PMDG and such. The flight Sim community is one of the least friendly places to be sometimes. Mike
July 31, 201114 yr Author Yeah not to worry am thick skinned lol, Everyone is entitled to there own opinion.. Cheers Stevie
July 31, 201114 yr I think that Steve just wants to show his appreciation to the team. He realises that one of PMDG's hardest decisions was pricing. Just think about it!The NGX has been a very long development cycle & we've heard about the hours they have put in recently. At $69 this is a give away. PMDG have had to market this at a price which is within the reach of those who have a smaller budget, that's a rare thing these days.Compare how much more you're getting with this product compared to previous releases & then compare the price difference? So please guys, show some respect to Steve. I don't imagine that PMDG would do this anyway but it's nice for them to know that some of us appreciate their work & for the sake of our hobby we hope that they will earn enough profit to continue developing in the future. With all due respect, PMDG is a business, not a charity. They don't need "donations". PMDG is run by some intelligent individuals, I highly doubt that they would price the NGX such that it isn't worth their while to produce it, otherwise they wouldn't be producing it in the first place. I have a feeling with all of the various packages, they'll end up just fine. At any rate, my idea of a donation is purchasing the 6700 package. I don't really want the -600 but I'll end up paying for it anyway in the package. -johnny ridgers
July 31, 201114 yr I thought we show appreciation by buying the product and being loyal to the brand. ie referring someone that's on the fence about purchasing the product. I own a BMW and so does just about everyone in my household, but does that mean i'm going to donate money to BMW ummm I think not. Albeit it a noble gesture by the OP, you can also find the logic in our responseYou donate them when you start purchasing the extras. They don't get too much profit from a "clean car". July 31, 201114 yr Instead of donating I will simply buy whole package and try to talk in to do the same thing every one I know that might be interested in this product. This, in my opinion, is the best way to show support to a developer.
July 31, 201114 yr Steve im in for a Donation option too man that was a good idea on your side . Image removed as image is no longer available.
