I'm having a weird problem. I'm hoping it's not a memory issue; i have the required 512 mb of video memory (which i realize wasn't the *recommended* amount but still should be 100% functional), and here's whats happening: I get a skeleton visual of the 737. In other words, the model shows up, there's just no livery and you can see everything inside. I could technically move everything over to my laptop with an i5 processor and video card with 1 GB of memory, but that would be a pain with all the addons i have, don't you think? It's technically "possible" but I like having it on my bigger screen and FS really works well on it anyway. I'm hoping this is not memory-related. Really shouldn't be as only the textures do not load, everything still works, everything's still there-except the paint. I can still fly it until then, I just wouldn't get the full experience, especially if I went into spot mode. And yes, I did try repairing the install. No luck. Perhaps a system restart is required? Wasn't prompted, and I'd never know because I practically never shut down my PC. Any help?

Please sign your post with your real name. If you haven't already, try adding "HIGHMEMFIX=1" without quotes to the graphics section of your FSX.CFG file.

Sorry just registered, will look into that. And thanks, I will definitely try that. Now that I finally found the place in the manual with the info i need, lol. Will check back if problem persists

Didn't work. Not even the the spelling in the manual of "HIMEMFIX=1" rather than "HIGHMEMFIX=1". is a system restart required?

Austin, I don't believe a system restart is required. Are you certain you have it in the correct section? Should be under [GRAPHICS] Not doubting you here, just trying to be 100% sure. The only time I've heard of this not working is when someone accidentally places it in the wrong section.

Yeah I was, but guess what, looks like I'm not flying this thing till I can get a better graphics card. Which p****es me off. I thought I had an ATI HD Radeon 4350, which would meet the requirements-but no, it's a 3450, which has half the required memory. Thankfully I can upgrade to a card with 1 GB of memory with this CPU. Thanks for your patience. I'm not really happy about it; it still works I guess but I certainly won't get full performance out of it for awhile.

Austin,Submit a ticket about this and we'll try to work it out with you. I'd like to come check out your system remotely if I can actually to see if I can tweak it a bit and get you past this problem.

I was noticing the same issue on my first flight. I added in the HIMEMFIX=1 tweak and it seemed to fix the error for my second flight. However on my third flight, I was again seeing the skeleton model when I would switch to spot view. Regards,Andrew De Forest

If you guys got Ezdok installed...dont forget to run EZdok Configuration.exe first...happened to me first (even i have a GTX580) ran the EZdok thing and everything fixed.
Classic, I dont know how many times I had that happend.....not today :-)

No, don't have that installed... but its the exact same issue as the poster. Whenever you change to the exterior from the cockpit. you get that skeleton like shell before it re-renders itself. It tried tweaking the FSX.CFG file with FSL_TextureFix_V1.0.. I also tried opening a tiecket that it seems to be overloaded already. If anyone can helps us... please do. Really appreciate it. If any more specific infom is needed, let me know!! Thanks in advance!! FDX706

But it does re-render itself? If so its just your system working to render it thats all I would think

Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"

I had the same problem briefly, I restarted my PC (after validation, initial load etc) and let it settle before starting FSX and the problem went away.
