August 5, 201114 yr It´s Control+Q to look down so you can better view the runway and Control+Shift+Q to look up. It work in the ground and in the air. AdenilsonThose are pan up and down shortcuts !! Nothing to do with the eyepoint problem. Fred Guys.... This worked like a charm, I TOTALLY recommend this fix, if you want to see the runway on final approach! Regards,Still doesn't really solve the problem ! That just adjusts the zoom level which you could do with the minus key !! As I have ststed alreay this is a well known Windows 7 issue with FSX ! August 5, 201114 yr RYR738. Yes but the guy "feio" would like to see the runway while landing and this trick work, right ? Best Regards, Adenilson
August 5, 201114 yr Hi Guys, I discovered base on a hint of pete_auau. It´s Control+Q to look down so you can better view the runway and Control+Shift+Q to look up. Let me just point out here that PMDG support are too lazy and it´s taking so much time to reply. Different than other ones. Adenilson EDIT: Saw that you apologized, disregard.
August 5, 201114 yr Author Still doesn't really solve the problem ! That just adjusts the zoom level which you could do with the minus key !! As I have ststed alreay this is a well known Windows 7 issue with FSX ! Fred, Yes it solved, if you take a look at this directive: [VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,MINIPANELVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8 Specially line 2:VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 0.0 The original panel.cfg uses 0 as the first direction... the new direction is 3, that lowers your eyesight and you can actually see the runway without pressing any key on FS... try it, it will solve the problem... regards

August 6, 201114 yr personally i prefer forward dir = 12.0 and zoom = 1.0. then when i enter the 2d panel i drag the outside view window to full screen size. it's a good angle and then when you look 45 degrees to either side the zoom will actually match. otherwise looking forward everything is always further away than looking to the side. maybe someone will find that helpful. August 6, 201114 yr That is a windows 7 problem with FSX.It is the same with the default planes in FSX. Not a PMDG problem at all. I would still love to know a fix for this ? Fred Also worth noting that those keyboard shortcuts move the eye point up and down. They work while on the ground but not in the air !! Perfect in Vista but doesn't work in Windows 7 !!!they work in the air as well they do on my pc I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
August 6, 201114 yr they work in the air as well they do on my pcThat's very interesting ! I am beginning to now think it has something to do with my display drivers although a lot of other people have the same problem. If I am on the ground no problem but in the air nothing !! Thanks. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 6, 201114 yr i fixed it for my panel go to the panel.CFG and change this line to this. [VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,MINIPANELVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8 works great thank you!

Are you guys getting the same issue?I can't modify the panel.cfg file cause when I click Save, it's like I've been selecting Save As. Do I overwrite? Thanks Teofilo Homsany
