August 5, 201114 yr Well done Craig ;o) So when starting I need to flick from 2D to VC to switch the fuel on then back to 2D ??? That can't be right can it ? How you doing Craig anyways ?You should be able to assign key commands to do the job. They might be assigned by default, actually, I'm not certain, but just check in the FMC. FMC > PMDG SETUP > OPTIONS > KEY COMMANDS.
August 5, 201114 yr Haha I was so confused...I was like like is no Shift+10 key. LOLz Alex Maxwell Gunther
August 5, 201114 yr Author I've just turned my computer off for the night and switched to iPad so wil look in the morning ...I'm hoping there is a key short for the horn cutoff too ? Gary Blake.
August 5, 201114 yr Hiya mate, im very well thanks, you ok? No in the manual somewhere I skimmed across something saying that there was no throttle panel, but key commands can be used to perform the functions instead, which I think is counter productive! But hey. Just trying to get used to the aircraft, everything is going OK-ish. Problems with a wide screen view on a standard 4:3 monitor :s. And the VC makes FS grind to a halt, avg of 4 FPS. But in 2D, I get ~20 FPS. And for some reason I couldn't get the autoland to work at LEPA. What sort of FPS you getting? It'll take some time getting used to the bird, but once I do it'll be great to fly, just have to persevere with it. Craig Craig Phillips Specs removed by Admin

CraigI'm good thx.I'm getting 25ish around BFI sliders 2/3 up and 18 ish VC ...I just can't get used to track IR ... Tricky !I havnt got the auto land to work either but I think it's something to with setting the ILS freq in both nav 1 & 2 selecting APP then selecting the second CMD ? Gary Blake.
August 5, 201114 yr 18 VC?? If only I could get that. Your machine isn't too different from mine... Core 2 Q6600 2.4GHz5 GB RAM1 x 768MB GeForce 8800GTX and yet you get more than 4 times the FPS than me :(, any ideas? might be time for an upgrade :( Craig Phillips Specs removed by Admin
August 5, 201114 yr Author Dunno, was thinking of building an i7 sandy bridge with all the trimmings soon anyways ;o) Gary Blake.
August 5, 201114 yr Thats because there isnt one ;) I'm using the 2D panel more than the VC at the moment as the 2D panel has very high FPS (75fps on my 'old' machine). I guess a 2d throttle panel is not much use except for the fuel control switches and the trim indicator. I wish they had put them on panel by themselves (or maybe on the fire panel). Matthew S
August 5, 201114 yr Author Oh yeah and I use Smartclose before starting up FSX & ASE to kill all the crap I don't need running in the background which helps a lot ! Gary Blake.
