Very little engine noise

Featured Replies

Hi guys Firstly I would just like to say what an excellent aircraft this is, an absolute joy to fly. Well done. One question for you, I don't seem to have any engine noise in the VC, none of that classic buzzsaw noise on a full throttle take off. Even outside there seems to be no engine sounds. Does anyone else have this problem, or is the cockpit of the 737 really that quiet on take off? RegardsNiall

Nope all sounds work as advertised, inside and out . . .

Niall, You should definitely be able to hear that buzzsaw noise on takeoff. Have you tried pressing the "Q" key twice? Sometimes the sound in FSX gets messed up and you have to do that to fix it.

Maybe your sound slider for engine sounds in FSX is too much to the left. At first, the engines noise was low to me too, but after some adjustments in the sound settings, I can hear it all.

Thanks Matheus That solved the problem, this aircraft just got a heap more awesome. RegardsNiall

Guys, All the FSX volumes should be set to 50 except the ATC slider which should be around 90. Also - there is an FSX bug which messes up the engine sounds when you change view - its a good idea to press "Q" twice after switching views to reset the sounds. Cheers,

Actually, the engines are hardly audable in the real 737 cockpit, even at full power. You can hear them, but not like you can back in the cabin.
