Which airlines are currently operating the HGS in their NGs?

He's still a tightass who will screw you out of every last penny he can, c'mon he even tried to get out of his obligations as a carrier during the volcano groundings. I do realise though that a lot of what he says is purely to shock people into giving him free advertising whether good or bad. I have flew with them many a time because I'm aware of how to dodge the "extras", and get the cheap flights....well I did until they pulled out of Belfast, so now I can't anymore.
It seems in the airline world, you're either a tightass, or you're bankrupt. If an airline hasn't done something unpopular to save some cash this year, they either did last year, or will next year.
But maybe Ryanair uses the display for commercials in addition to the standard HGS symbols ...
Haha, maybe some banner ads around the edges of the display. Or a 30-second popup ad at every waypoint.

Qantas is tightass too, but it has them to avoid fog delays, particularly in Melbourne Brisbane and Canberra - and Sydney can put on some decent fogs at times, and Hobart just plain lousy weather. And Cat II/III as well. Also its good for airports, they can keep ticking over while there are fogs - like London and many European ports. It's all part of making the pilot superfluous, less a cause of problems, and far cheaper than heading to an alternate. Imagine an A380 missing an approach, HGS and Cat 2/3 soon pay for themselves.

I saw one on the Captain's side, while getting on board South African Airways B737-800 from Joburg to Mauritius, look pretty cool ...

I think virgin Australia has started to use them in their new aircraft.
Virgin Australia do not have HGS installed on any B737 aircraft nor a similar system on any other aircraft. There are no plans to introduce such a system, especially since only one airport in Australia has greater than CAT I capability. Cheers, DZ
