Frustration

Featured Replies

I've now attempted several short flights, EGGL-EGPF (successful and a shear delight), EGGL-EGCC (perfection), EGKK-EDDT (CTD). I've also had several attempts at flying from KPDX to KSEA with ORBX scenery but each time I've had a freeze followed by a CTD at different stages of the flight. On one flight I had a freeze which resulted in locked controls and gauges and the plane flying endlessly in circles. I don't have trouble with anything else, I've got the recommended settings in my fsx.cfg file, have tried various obvious things and I have a reasonable system, i7 930 overclocked to 3.6 and a GTX470. Oh and I get the heading/LNAV jerk. I finally managed the KPDX-KSEA flight successfully. How? I used the iFly, but now I've seen the holy grail it seemed a bit lacking. I'm pinning my hopes on the upcoming freeze fix but otherwise it's back to the A2A Spit, the Turbo Duke, the Level D and a couple of other flawless favourites. John

Try to use FSX in Admin mode and in compatibility as vista SP2

And assure you that fsx is installed in C:\FSX and not in C:\Programfiles\ etc etc

What about enroute to EDDT? But OK I'll give up on that route despite no problems with iFly 737. John

I had a CTD flying SEA to SJC using ORBX. It happened 5 minutes into the flight . I have done dozens of flights elsewhere without any problems. I think its the ORBX. I never used FSX till the NGX came out so I can't be sure.

Cheers!

You had 1 CTD and have already solved it to say it's the scenery? Look above, others that don't have it, are having CTD as well.

Didn't say I solved it. I was sharing my experience and I said I think its the problem. At no point did I say matter of fact it is. WOW!

Cheers!

WOW!

No, I was sharing my experience related to this topic. You have shared nothing and contributed nothing but to read into my post as if I have resolved it. Don't be a troll.

And I responded to your inaccuracies in a civil manor, without the WOW. Only troll here I see is you. Like I said, your 5 minutes of FSX with your 1 CTD isn't enough to make an educated conclusion.

Educated? You take the words like "so I can't be sure " as meaning I know for sure its the problem? You have issues with PMDG. I saw you educated post on their facebook page. Troll

Cheers!
