Attendant call button

Featured Replies

Hello! I've noticed that whenever I push the attendant call button, a high-tone chime is heard. The manual states that a two-tone chime should be heard. Is this a bug or is there something that I should be aware of?

I got the same one-tone chime as you. I push the button twice to make it as realistic as possible ;) a little anoying :/

My chime is barely audible - i created a thread about this before and everyone said that its not meant for the cockpit so its not very audible - however in real life it is meant to be heard in the cockpit -- are you guys hearing it loudly?? how loud?? how many Hotfixes have you installed??

I'm hearing it rather low. But that's realistic I suppose.

Press the "Attend" then quickly "Chime" for the two tone (high-low) chime you're looking for, thats what I do.

I agree. I suspect in the real aircraft, since the chime is in the cabin, it must be difficult to hear through the cockpit door?

But what's not realistic is the Sound you get when receiving a message on the FMC! I Don't hear the Sound at all :( the sound was rather loud in PMDG 747-400X which was fine. Am I deaf or..?

With the way the world economy is at the moment I think its a sensible move to cut back on chimes.

Worse than the chime, I hit the attendant button when I want a cup of coffee and no one ever shows up. So I have to do it myself.

Bob Quick
