Why do business jets have so little appeal (based on survey results)?

A/T ALT HLD bug?
I'm not really sure that you would ever employ this procedure on the ground, so i wouldn't worry about it? Maybe someone with more experience can shed some light on the subject.

Give the Queen a royal treatment
Scary...some day this new version of the 737 NGX will be "dated" and PMDG will be working on the next updated 737! I love progress.

Real World NGX Pilots how on earth do you remember all this
I bet he actually meant 60,000 !?

Learning this jet
I am definately looking forward to the AOA video training!

Will not descend
I think that is a good way to describe it. In the US, you wouldn't start descending unless ATC cleared you to a lower altitude anyway.

Real world airline pilots – can you provide a play by play?
Thank you very much!

Virtual Cockpit - Clicks
I had the same issue last night. I have Hotfix2 installed. -Jason

Door L1 can not be opened via Options in the FMC.
Just out of curiosity, in the real world, how do the crews get in to the aircraft when there is no power!?

Attendant call button
I agree. I suspect in the real aircraft, since the chime is in the cabin, it must be difficult to hear through the cockpit door?

Real world airline pilots – can you provide a play by play?
Greetings all, I just purchased the BMDG 737 NGX. I was a long time user of the previous PMDG 737 NG. Great products by the way! I have developed a reasonable understanding of the procedures to fire the systems up, program the CDU, etc., however one gap I have in my understanding and that is what else goes on ‘behind the scenes’ once you arrive on the flight deck? I was wondering if a real world airline pilots on this forum would consider replying with a brief play-by-play description of what actions happen when between when you get on board and when you start push-back? Maybe you could reference when you perform them relative to how many minutes you have prior to departure? For example, do you program the flight into the CDU right after you get on board? When do you and the FO accomplish the pre-departure briefing? How many minute prior to push-back do you start the APU and close the doors? Etc.This information would be helpful to fully integrate the procedures in the NGX FCOM with the real world ‘big picture’.Thanks, -Jason Beall

Mapping pre-formatted views to my joystick hat button
Folks, Apologies as I am more aviation literate than computer literate. The Introduction manual mentions the pre-formatted views: Pre-Formatted views included with this version are as follows:1) Cockpit Viewsa) VC Captain’s Position. VC First Officer’s Positionc) VC Aft Overhead Paneld) VC Lower Overhead Panel I can move between these views using the S key, and I can assign S to my controller (joystick). However.... What I would REALLY like to do is actually assign (a) through (d) above to four different 'corners' of my HAT button on my joystick. In other words, move the hat button left and I get Capt view in the virtual cockpit, move it right and get the FO view in the virtual cockpit, move it up and get the overhead, etc. Can someone please offer instructions on how to do this? is it possible within the confines of the software? Kind regards, -Jason BeallPMDG Captain My flying videos: www.youtube.com/flyboy98

Could the freeze fix be as simple as the FSX .cfg?
To the OP: Could you post a link to Nick's (from AOA) fsx.cfg file? Thanks, -Jason Beall

No lights when testing Fire Panel?
Greetings all, On page NP.21.13 of the FCOM, I am following the procedure to test the Fire Control panel. When I hold the Test switch to FAULT/INOP, I don't get the illumination of the OVHT/DET light nor the FAULT light. In fact, I get no annuciations. When I move the switch to OVHT/FIRE I get the Fire Warning light, the bell, and the OVHT/DET annunciator...so all is good there. I can verify the annuciator light bulbs are good as I have tested all lights with the test switch. I have loaded the panel from Cold and Dark state, and I have also made sure that there are no FAILURES active in the FMC setup menu, and have cleared any service based failures (actually OFF). Any ideas? Thanks, Jason BeallAlberta, Canada See my YouTube page if you are interested in the Cessna 310: www.youtube.com/flyboy98
