Ancient Airliners

Featured Replies

I'm looking for ancient post-war (that would be WW2 for you kids) airliners for FSX. Something that was designed before the GPS and the FMC. I dont mind it having an IRS like the DELCO Carousel tho. Payware of freeware. Is that A2A 377 the best ancient liner out there these days? Other suggestions?

Try Historic Jetliners Group. I don't know how much they have for FSX but they're a great resource for early jetliners.http://www.simviation.com/hjg/main.htm

I would think the A2A bird would be just the ticket.

Hello Google in "Maltby flight sim planes".. The first link is to a website where many post war british airliners are available for downloadMost are state of the art creations with VC s , and most work in FSX. The Comet and the Trident are outstanding and are the planesI fly in FSX. The VCs are the best I've seen for accuracy. Most switches knobs etc actually work. And they are FREE

There is a just flight L-049.

If you feel like flying classic jets, than I highly recommend the Captain Sim 707, 727 and Flight Sim Labs Concorde. The Concorde has a very steep learning curve, but it is very satisfying once you have mastered the basic techniques.

Thanks,
