August 19, 201114 yr How much do the Boeing Flight Decks cost? I guessing something like that is around $50,000 or more?My 737 800 cost over 50,000 euros but for that money I also got a real Boeing 737 cockpit with controlsrudder pedals and seats. Everything else is from Flightdeck Solutions except the software. That is Project Magenta. (1200 euros) Frederic Steiner.
August 19, 201114 yr Nope. Only airbus they have is the A320 An autoland shouldn't be soft and smooth.I don't really mind whether it should or not, it does (by my standards) and that counts for me.

August 19, 201114 yr Cool, where were you based with FR? I'm friendly with a few of the Ryanair guys based in DUB, apparently they're having quite the problem with retaining their Capts ATM, Serves MOL right the B*****D. I'm sick and tired of hearing "But in Ryanair they do this" at managment meetings, it's about time MOL was shown who's boss. IIRC there was a show on "Nationwide" on RTE based on fixed base 737 sims down in EINN about 2 years ago, you weren't involved in that were you? With Ryanair I was based at Shannon ( when we were flying to Germany and Spain) and that Nationwide program was about my 737 800 simulator. After it aired I had lots of interest and flight simmers wanting a spin in it. Great fun. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 19, 201114 yr Well just curious are you Dutch and which class did you had at the KLS?I am German by birth but married a nice Irish lady.I flew for KLM out of Munich and Hamburg.Have very fond memories of those days. Frederic. Frederic Steiner.
August 19, 201114 yr Author Thank for the info Fred. I have the Scenery for Dublin and Shannon. Love flying in there, especially when the weather is nasty! Paul Deemer

Was that before 1994, because KLM just hiring Dutch pilots form there own flight academy KLS ;-)Hence as a foreign pilot you don't have a chance lol and certainly not at the left seat ;-)So I'm a bit surprised, but never to old to learn something new about our KLMWhich types did you flew for KLM or was it for city hopper? André
August 19, 201114 yr In the future there will be no pilots, just a man and a dog. A man to feed the dog and the dog to bite the man if he touches anything Just last night I struck my wife because she was trying to make casual conversation below 10,000 feet, then I remembered I was never married, so I have no idea who I hit. There should be a yearly Avsim award to the funniest post, I don't know which one of these I would pick. Oh my, what a laugh!
August 19, 201114 yr There's a "if you don't follow real world procedures, you shouldn't even buy the product" brigade on the forums. Below is the photo of one of those people when we talk about flying under the Golden Gate Bridge. I try to follow them as much as possible. Just last night I struck my wife because she was trying to make casual conversation below 10,000 feet, then I remembered I was never married, so I have no idea who I hit. Thank you so much, now that was really refreshing and pretty much sums up my feelings. :) Christian Adrigan

Oops, sorry bout that mistake there Ferd, didn't mean to offend you, you just sounded a bit less professional about the whole pilot thing. I saw that nationwide program too and meant to give yee a call about it but I totally forgot until Rónán mentioned it just there. Maybe I'll pay yee a visit some day and check out that sim, it looked really cool but I have a voucher for the A320 sim based in Simtech so I'll have to use that first... It's really great to see so many RW pilots online here, keep up the good work.
August 19, 201114 yr Oops, sorry bout that mistake there Ferd, Don't you mean "Fred" not "Ferd" , AFAIK Ferd was the one who went around the forums speaking gibberish 10 years back..... Rónán O Cadhain.
