Well, I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question but after looking at the manual I still can't get a single channel ILS approach that will connect with the glide slope and path. I have the proper freq, the appr is engaged and showing green, and the autopilot is on. Do you have to put the freq in for both cmd's and have them engaged just for a single channel approach? I'm probably missing something so simple that after I find out I'll need a shot of Jack Daniels. :) Anyway any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. CaptMac

Are the guidance dots appearing on display? Or is the AP just not catching it? I've done plenty without any issues at all, no need for the freq to be in both.

If you can, a screenshot would really help us, I cant think of anything off the top of my head without seeing how everything is set up. What mode are you in prior to intercept?

Maybe the plane has not caught the glideslope yet (usually from below while flying level-typically at 3000ft.)? AFAIK the glideslope only becomes green when that happens, before that it is only armed. I think this plane can also capture it from above, but I am not sure. Or maybe you are still too far. If it doesn't and you are within 10 miles, something is wrong. henri

You will only get te Single Channel status after pressing APP and capturing the glideslope.

Some airports / runways just do not have a glide path with them. Maikel Rozemeijer

Figured it out tonight. I engaged the vor lock then after it engaged the appr and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the replies guys. CaptMac
