  1. All the sudden I'm getting a traffic alert for an aircraft right under my nose but nothing is there. I've already set the filter for not showing all traffic in the setup within the CDU. So any suggestions on how to correct this would be appreciated. I'm using Ideal Flight also so not sure if that is the problem or not. CaptMac Don McDaniiel
  2. Not sure this is your problem but I was also having some CTD while using fspassenger. I downloaded gameboster 3 and have been running that. I'm now running fspassenger, radar contact, and EFB, in the background with no problems. CaptMac donmcdaniel
  3. Love the program. It's hard now to fly anything without it. Setup is a snap and the learning curve is not too bad. The program helps you get into a natural routine in getting through checklists and also helps take the load off a little given you now have a copilot. If at all possible I would suggest the voice version as it really increases the realizm. Once setup the voice version is really smooth. You should take the voice training in windows though so your voice can be recognized easier. I personnally would not use a button version given the benefits of the voice. I have not really experienced any fps losses. I would guess it's all a matter of system performance. I have a really good system so I'm running fscrew, radar contact, and rex2 for weather and I'm really smooth. Anyway, hope that helps. CaptMac
  4. Thanks Jean-Paul Mes for the reply. Have a great rest of the week. I'll take a look at the thread. captmac donmcdaniel
  5. I have been thinking of installing the FPS Enhancement Package V2 package to increase my FPS. I'm using mega sceneries in several places. Will this package damage my mega sceneries?? Thanks for any suggestions or help. CaptMac donmcdaniel
  6. I have had the same problem at times. My solution was to jiggle the joystick a little and then it seems to come on with not problem. CaptMac donmcdaniel
  7. Hi all, I've had some random crashes on arrival, some on the taxi way some at shut down. I think that FsPassenger might be the problem for me. I'm not using the windows on FsPassenger but still have had a problem with CTD. I'm also using Radar Contact so one of the things I have tried is as soon as I get ground instructions at my arrival airport I'm exiting out of Radar Contact. So far so good. I'll let you know if I have any more CTD using that solution. DonMcDaniel CaptMac
  8. Oh ya undocking the window should work also. I must have had a major brain freeze or something. Thanks,CaptMac
  9. Oh wow right in front of me. Thanks deamienw!!!captmac
  10. Hi, just a general question on something I can't figure out. When I have the config menu up and I snap back to the front view after panning in the VC the menu for FS2Crew dissapears. Anyway to keep it visual until I shut it down myself? Thanks for any suggestions.CaptMac
  11. Well there you go again hooking me on another product. FS2Crew for the 737 NGX is awsome. I'm getting where I can't fly any aircraft that does not have the software. Great job and thanks for making our hobby really fun. Microsoft Flight?? Not going to happen!!! :) They just don't get it.CaptMac
  12. Got it and it's awsome. Thanks so much for all your work and support.CaptMac
  13. Be careful what you ask for. It just might start running then you will really be disappointed. captmac
  14. I think this flight sim will attract folks who like arcade type games. The graphics look really cool. I, however have been spoiled with third party software, ATC, flexibility of flying my own assignments with the planes I like to fly. For me the whole thing is too structured and lacks the wide open options you get with FSX. I for one will be staying with FSX and the load of addon software I've been using and enjoying in my flying experiences. I don't think this one will fit in too well with flightsim hobby community.Anyway, just one persons opinion.CaptMac
  15. Really, really funny my friend!!!! :)captmac
  16. I'm running in full screen mode on both monitors. Here is how:1. start fsx in windowed mode.2. after fsx is fully loaded go to the control panel and activate the second monitor3. go back to FSX and to to full screen and you should be ok
  17. PebbleBeach? Wish I was there today. We have a foot of snow and still coming.CaptMac
  18. I'm in my 60s and have been flight simming from the very beginnging. 60s wow can't believe that myself. :) Anyway I've purchased a _ _ _ _ load of addons. If my memory serves me correctly I've never landed on one that did not take some time getting here. I love rc4 so if the 5 version is anything like what has been suggested it should be really great. From what I have read rc5 will take it to another level so I'm content to let them take time to do it right the first time. Unlike many addons that need a lot of corrective patches later. So I for one am glad they are taking it slow. The great news is we still get to enjoy our hobby with rc4 while we wait.Have a great weekend all.CaptMac
  19. On my last flight with the 737-800 ngx I had a couple of door indicator lights that would not go out even though the doors were shut. I did try to re-open and close these doors but not joy. If this is a mechanical problem how do you repair it without having to exit out and start all over? I tried the repair system in the CDU but that did not work either. Thanks for any suggestions given.DonMcCaptMac
  20. Here is what works for me with a second monitor:1. Make sure you're on one monitor only to start. Your primary one.2. Start fsx3. After fsx loads and your at your departing airport go to windowed mode.4. Start your second monitor.5. After the second monitor is up go to full screen on fsx.You should now be in full screen mode on both. The only glitch is that if you have to do any adjustments on the second monitor you will have to go to windowed mode. I'm using electronic flight bag on a second full screen. I use the key bindings to send commands to EFB and doing it that way I can stay in full screen on both.Anyway, just one idea.CaptMac
  21. Thanks guys for the reply I appreciated it. Have a great Christmas!!!donmccaptmac
  22. Sorry Martinest2 let me do a better job in explaining:1. Secondary monitor should be off2. Start fsx and put it in windowed mode on your primary monitor, this is so you can see the task bar, after FSX has loaded up....3. Activate the second monitor4. You can now load up any programs for fsx on the second monitor, mine is electronic flightbag, fspassenger, and radar contact, you can put them in full screen mode if you like5. Move fsx to full screen, the secondary screen should still be on and in full screen. The only problem is if you have to adjust any programs on the secondary monitor you have to put fsx in windowed mode until your done. I'm looking for a solution to that on.Hope that helps. :)CaptMac
  23. I've been running FSX and EFB on two monitors in full screen mode. FSX on my primary monitor and EFB on the secondary monitor. Works great but when ever I try to do anything on the secondary monitor FSX reduces to the task bar. Not sure what I have not done in the way of setup yet. Even when there is no program present on the second monitor if I right click anywhere on it's desktop fsx goes to the task bar. Any suggestions on how to solve this would sure be appreciated. Thanks,Captmac
  24. You can run both FSX and the any program like the Electronic Flight Bag on full screen by completely loading FSX first on your primary monitor, then activate the second monitor, then load up EFB. I've been running both on full screen mode and it works great for me. I'm on windows 7 64bit. with two graphic cards on SLI.CaptMac
  25. Most of you may know this already but I'll pass it along to anyone who is getting a black screen on the second monitor in full screen mode. I'm now running in full screen with fsx on one and EFB on the other. The way I have solved this problem for me was to ,deactivate the second monitor, load fsx at the airport of your choice in windowed mode, then activate the second monitor, press alt then enter and you should be in full screen on both monitors. It improved my fps and allows me to run both programs in full screen mode.CaptMac
