How to remove enbseries from FS9

Featured Replies

Hi, I deleted the two files form the root of FS9: enbseries.ini and d3d9.dll however enbseries.ini pops back in there when loading FS9 again and the key for SHIFT+12 still works for turning on/off the bloom effect. How to I remove this mod? Thanks

Wow, you have to be the first person I've known of who wants to delete enbseries from their install of FS9. I wish I could help you on this one but the last thing I would want to do is delete that applet... unsure.png

It's a little un-nerving when removing the two files you placed when you installed something doesn't return your system to normal whether you like the effect or not though. I've had an enbseries.ini show up in my Flight Simulator Files folder for some unexplained reason in the past. I'm wondering if d3d9.dll got copied to one of your system folders somehow, does it create a new enbseries.ini in your main FS9 folder when you run FS9? I'd think reinstalling DirectX would probably return you to normal again, not sure but it won't hurt anything. Jim

I cant seem to find a ini file that has a not so dark "tint" to it. I have a hard to with my panels sometimes with it on since its too dark. And even during the day, it seems darker than it should be. I can tell its an improvement on most colors, and the bare metal is awesome on some planes with it on, just need it to be a tad lighter. If anyone has some settings to change I would try it.

Although I loved it, I had to remove it too because it caused an fps drop. :(

Send me your email. What I did in mine was change the settings to keep the default FS9 brightness. In effect ENB doesn't change the brightness at night.

Thanks Dillon, looks much better, however why are there print screens , and I meen alot of them now on my root of FS9 like this:enb2011_8_26_3_26_32.bmpenb2011_8_26_3_26_35.bmpenb2011_8_26_3_26_40.bmp This is causing major stutters and lag when its doing it all the time and I mean just from gate to taxi I got about 50 screen shots automatically taken with ENB in front of the file name. Please tell me this can be fixed? Is there something I did wrong? Thanks

Ok, I removed the line "KeyScreenshot=45" from the ini file and that seemed to clear the issue. Will try some more test flights. Let me know if there is something else that is the culprit. Thanks

Love the settings in the day, but to dark at night, is there a way to lighten it up at night just a tad? What setting is the one to adjust for that? I can play with the settings that way. Thanks

Play around with some of the night entries in the various sections. I forget which one (it's been so long) brightens up the sim at night so play around until you find the setting.

Thanks for the reply Dillon, however I have no idea where to start on tweaking the settings on the ini file. Where would the night environment settings be located? Any help would be great. At least just to make it a bit brighter.
