Pilots probably get it all the time. I'd assume Next time it's in for maintenance the engineers would install the new database
Pilots actually never see it provided the airline runs their maintenance well - it should be updated on-time by the overnight maintenance crews before a pilot ever sits down.

Ahh I see. Thanks Ryan. What about my little tweak to stop the message coming up for those who don't buy/have the latest AIRAC cycle? Will that work?

Hi! Tried your little tweak and on my last leg from WBKK-WIII, didn't see that message anymore. Now the FMC 'believes' database is valid until 31 Dec 2011. Thanks a lot Captain!
