September 6, 201114 yr I can't get the saitek SST my profile loaded. I need to unplug my controllers and replug them after windows has started to see the controller icon on the bottom of the screen next to the clock. It would them work until I restart my computer.Any idea what i am doing wrong ? I need a clean driver/SST install. RegardsKarim 3rd Thread you've made...on the same subject.Ive posted something that may help, in 1 of the 3. Regards Luke M
September 6, 201114 yr Author I have the same problem, but it doesn't bother me that much. I had a chat with Saitek tech support. They promissed to send me a couple of things that might help. I'll let you know Best Karim

September 6, 201114 yr I don't use the SST software at all. Never really found a reason to. I just assign all my stuff between FSX Controls and the Registered Version of FSUIPC and I also do all my calibrating with it now too. Paul Deemer
September 6, 201114 yr I don't use the SST software at all. Never really found a reason to. I just assign all my stuff between FSX Controls and the Registered Version of FSUIPC and I also do all my calibrating with it now too. I had the SST programmed before I got the registered FSUIPC, so I didn't see any need to stop using it since it works for me flawlessly, and gives me the ability to use the 6 modes (3 plus their respective pinkies). But I calibrated all my axes with FSUIPC, including the throttle axis, which I disabled entirely in FSX and assigned it through FSUIPC. I used my slider for reverse thrust until I registered my FSUIPC. Now I'm so loving the fact that I can do that with the throttle. Chidiebere Anyahara
September 6, 201114 yr How are you able to get the Reverse thrust to work on the X52 Throttle? I could never figure out how to get FSUIPC to do that. Can you explain how I set up my X52 Pro throttle to kick into reverse when it is all the way back? Paul Deemer
September 6, 201114 yr How are you able to get the Reverse thrust to work on the X52 Throttle? I could never figure out how to get FSUIPC to do that. Can you explain how I set up my X52 Pro throttle to kick into reverse when it is all the way back? Yup that's easy. First off, calibrate other axes as usual (I believe you've done that already), but for the throttle, check the 'Map to 4 throttles' box, and go to page 3 of 11 (see picture): When you get to page 3 of 11 (separate throttles per engine) and calibrate 'throttle 1'. You can see in the pic that it's already programmed for max thrust on one end, and reverse zone on the other end (make sure you leave the 'no reverse zone' box unchecked (see pic)): All that is left now is to determine where your idle should be located: 1: Move your throttle to the 'Max' and click the appropriate set button (just like other axes), then...2: Bring it back to the idle detente and click 'set' (the first number that populates should be the bottom window), then...3: Move the throttle a little further back as if you're beginning to climb the detente 'hill' (if you understand what I mean), but don't climb it entirely, click 'set' again to populate the upper window (this should give an adequate deadzone at the idle zone.4: Now move the throttle all the way to the back and click the 'set' button. It should look like this from right to left:Max: 16383; Idle: bottom= -9417, Idle top= -10191; Reverse: -16384 Let me know if it worked for you. Chidi Chidiebere Anyahara
September 7, 201114 yr Fantastic! I Finally got it mapped to my throttle and no more using a button for reversers! Yipee! Reason it was not working before when I tried it that way was because I had already calibrated the throttle on Page 1 when I should have hit the reset button and not calibrated it there. Thanks for the Help. Paul Deemer
September 7, 201114 yr Thank you Chidi! I'm going to try your setup for the reversers in a bit. Never knew how to do that. Brandon Burkley
September 7, 201114 yr You're welcome, Brandon. Let us know if it works. It should. Chidiebere Anyahara

September 8, 201114 yr Works great. Used it first time at Zurich last night when I flew in from Larnaca. Paul Deemer
September 8, 201114 yr Works great. Used it first time at Zurich last night when I flew in from Larnaca. I'm talking of the feature that lets you know where your physical throttle(s) are in relation to the virtual one (blue arc). Mine doesn't work if I calibrate with FSUIPC. if I choose 'YES' then the blue arc is there, but doesn't change when I move the lever, and if I choose the 'WHEN MOVING', then I only see the white arc and my speed gets momentarily interrupted when I move the lever (even if I choose 'NEVER' in the A/T), and no matter what A/T setting I use, it functions as if I have the 'IN HOLD AND ARM MODE' selected. You lost me. I got a good idea what your talking about with throttles on Hardware in relation to where the NGX throttles are. But whats this blue arc white arc stuff I don't see what your talking about? I did my calibration in FSUIPC and I just leave everything at the current settings. While I am at the gate and before I power up the NGX i Just go to desktop then control panel, then game contollers and calibrate the x52 pro and pedals in there then I done. Seems easier that way and FSUIPC settings for calibration stay where they are. Ie the numbers. Paul Deemer
