Experience with Gamebooster V3?

Featured Replies

Does it really "turn slow PC into a fast gaming box" ? Does it help with FSX?

It certainly shuts down many unnecessary services. I use V2 and it does make the system more fluid. I would say it saves me 3-5 fps at the most.

Go Get Ken Salter's "Alactrity": it's free, (you can donation if you wish) and vastly more functional than GameBooster. http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/

HelloI completely agree Alacrity is many times more functional than Gamebooster, and written by a long time flightsimmer .If you need to shut down a bunch of services then start FSX and other programs that you use alongside FSX automatically, whilst setting those programs affinity all from one icon, then Alacrity is what you need. Even has a support forum and all for free.

Couldn't agree more, Alcarity does the job perfectly. Now, with high-end computers and Win7 x64 I don't believe there is a real need for this kind of tools.Just my 2c.

I use it to start a couple of apps, David - plus the cleanup of the pc prior to starting FSX (and now, I guess - this new Shade app!) through a dos menu-ing script.

Agreed. No real difference here with and without Gamebooster or Alcarity.
