October 5, 201114 yr Been trying to make this work for a long time, tried searching the forum however it yielded no success. Can anyone shed a light on how to properly set this up please? To make it more clear, my query is how to set up the AIII correctly, as in you get the runway edges on the HUD. Use the RWY button, the number keypad and the ENTER button (in the lower left corner of the keypad) to enter the runway elevation (E) and the runway length (LN). That's basically it. If you plan on doing an autolanding also enter the ILS frequency in both NAV radios and the runway course in both COURSE windows.
October 5, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the swift response I will give it a try shortly and report back. Luke Bowerman PMDG 737NGX pilot Thermaltake | DFi Lan Party x48 | Intel Quad Core 3.2HGZ | ATI 4870 HD 1GB | 4GB DDR2 | RECOM 1050w

Actually, you need the ILS tuned on both radios for AIII mode to function. If you are using AIII, it is unlikely that you would be autolanding as the AIII system already provides you with the capability of conducting CATII and CATIIIa ILS approaches without the need for the autopilot. I am currently enroute to spain, I have pre set all the ILS and CRS to the app runway, I am getting NO LAND 3 on the EICAS, is this because the NAV freq's are not yet in range? October 5, 201114 yr Thanks for that much info there, did PMDG model this just as the real one?Well, let's say it lacks some features. Still hoping for the SP, although for some reason I'm 99% convinced there won't be a change in SP1. This is what I am gettingAh, interesting. I wonder how you would get a LAND3 in any case - you're not fail-op equipped here. ISFD is one of the minimum requirements, and you lack that. Wonder how that message goes together with that, though.
October 5, 201114 yr Author Did anyone ever get this message? Maybe PMDG staff can shed a light? Luke Bowerman PMDG 737NGX pilot Thermaltake | DFi Lan Party x48 | Intel Quad Core 3.2HGZ | ATI 4870 HD 1GB | 4GB DDR2 | RECOM 1050w
October 5, 201114 yr Well usually you can trigger the message by putting the system into fail-pass. This could be achieved by e. g. failing the ISFD. Now interestingly enough (good catch there!), the message also appears when you're fail-pass anyways, whereas I believe it definately shouldn't. In fact a fail-pass aircraft should not display anything there.
October 5, 201114 yr Author Exactly, can this be a bug which should be patched up? Luke Bowerman PMDG 737NGX pilot Thermaltake | DFi Lan Party x48 | Intel Quad Core 3.2HGZ | ATI 4870 HD 1GB | 4GB DDR2 | RECOM 1050w
October 5, 201114 yr Well it should be patched, no question... But I doubt it will make it into SP1, unless someone else has noted this before.
October 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Luke, What are you doing to get the NO LAND 3 message there? It shouldn't even be possible to see that without fail-op autoland enabled. Two questions:1. Do you have the latest hotfix installed? 2. Are you loading from a saved flight during the approach phase or something like that?
