Still running first version......anyone else?

I'm also still using the first RTM version wich has no hotfixes applied. I guess the reason is that it has worked for me without problems, and I have flown many hours already. I have experiences freeze only one time without known cause. Else I have had freeze in about 10 sec when shutting down ASE. I alse am a little bugged by the radio altimeter accumulating unrealisticly high altitudes, but perhaps that's one of the issues that the fixes is about. I guess in time I will install the SP, but like some else here have notet I'm afraid patches will introduce problems which I don't have now. All my credits go to PMDG for making this realistic and enjoyable product. It have made me convert to FSX and pick up flightsimming again. Have been simming since the mid-eighties, but had little time the last years and stayed with FS9 too long, mostly because of the old NG.

Me too. running like a dream without any hotfixes. I think it's worth rembering that there are a lot of people who simply like to get in the aircraft, programme and plan what is needed for the flight and go flying. The beauty of this add-on, for me, is that it can be tailored to serve the needs of anyone who has a basic knowledge of FMC flying, or it can be used to equal satisfaction by those who really like to get deeply invoved in the aircraft and it's systems. I have no hotfixes, I have had 1 CTD (due to my own ham-fistedness), I have installed more than 50 liveries using the installer provided, I have aircraft set up in various configs (US/European), and I have flown more than 200 hours. I have done autolands, go-arounds, holds, diversions and non-precision approaches in all kinds of different weather at big and small airports. I have had not one single problem worthy of note. I will wait for SP1, backup my original installation and see if SP1 can make (my idea of) perfection any better. PMDG - thanks for a brilliant product which, up to now, serves my needs completley. I am still running the version that was released on day one. I have had 5 issues over 150 hrs, all of which were caused by me switching views too much. Is anyone else still running the original installer? If so, have you had any issues?
Nope, I'm running the latest hotfix and for two main reasons: - I like realism and with every hotfix they've fixed something that wasn't working like it should. So with every HF you are a small step closer to the real thing. - If you don't install the HF you aren't able to help the developer (and thus the community) making the NGX better by testing the latest changes and reporting any issues via the ticket system. Kind regards,
