October 13, 201114 yr I too am running on Vanila with just a few of the little bugs that don't stop me flying. Must say though, i feel a little guilty because if you don't try the HotFixes, then you are not testing them out. Hence no feedback which is required to establish a final SP.Rick, I wonder if some users realise that depending on your date of purchase, they have the RTM with hotfix3 built in. That's why all is good. Quite funny really, refuse to use a hotfix, but have it without knowing it. October 13, 201114 yr Im also using the NGX without any HF's at-all. Iv'e had not had many issue's but one that really bugs me is after 3 hours of flying MSFS freeze's and I have to reboot my computer!!On the other hand If I could find where to download the Hot-Fixes I would but I wasn't present on the days of release, If anyone has a link to all the Hot-Fixes please PM me... I didn't mean to take over the post :(
October 13, 201114 yr I must have a freak version of 737 :) ... question: is it correct that if I approach a 36 runway from south to north for example and I turn the morse on let's say around 25nm in advance and I can hear it immediately, and it is the correct ID ILS etc.. my plane starts to catch the LOC only when I am very close to the glide ? Of course the LOC button is being pressed by me just after I hear the morse and of course my AoA against the glide is around only 15° or less... First - AoA of 15 or less - i usually have a bigger AoA - determined by ATC or the STAR i am flying. Well - when you say: "my plane starts to catch the LOC only when I am very close to the glide" - do you mean the glideslope (the point when the descent on the glideslope begins)? If yes - that all depends on you approach. If using real life STARs - yes - sometimes it is pretty close - but you should still get enough time to safely catch both. There are some approaches when catching the LOC and the glideslope is one smooth movement right until TD. Just had that in the PMDG 747 in WSSS. Lowering the speed a bit helps.
October 13, 201114 yr Author Rick, I wonder if some users realise that depending on your date of purchase, they have the RTM with hotfix3 built in. That's why all is good. Quite funny really, refuse to use a hotfix, but have it without knowing it.That is a good point. Mine is straight out of the box from day 1. I will be adding SP1 as it fixes all the little bugs and inaccuracies. It just goes to show you how bloody finicky these PC's can be. October 13, 201114 yr It's a credit to the developers and the beta testers that this original version worked so well for almost everybody. I haven't noticed any bugs at all, and like others, I'm a bit fearful of downloading SP1 when v0.00 works so well.

My version runs without a crash and I have it since August.....so no hot fixes in place...I think it depends on sw/hw config. PMDG IMO released a good vanilla but on some HW/SW configuration it may have some failures. Back to my kind quoted helper the answer is no, I was referring to the lateral navigation not the glide. That's the weird thing. In addition , just to ease the stuff, I am training myself on multiple landings without STARS , even if I fly them when on " real " routes so that's the reason of AoA that may vary from 5 to 30 but never 0 otherwise I wouldn't notice the LOC " retard " . The glide " failure " for me is easy to notice instead :) :( I will keep on training because I do not want to hijack this thread, sorry guys.
October 13, 201114 yr If I wanted to be a beta tester then I would install the hotfixes, as I'm not a beta tester I haven't. The original release has been fine for me, I had a couple of panel freezes, but, that's two flights out of hundreds. I'm not that bothered with pre SP releases. Chris Farrell
October 13, 201114 yr Still got the first version here too, not had any issues that were not system related on my end. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
October 13, 201114 yr Still running original from day 1 and no problems, except FSinn Weather. flys so good and displays are great. If it gets any better than this I'll wet my pants. I have downloaded all hot fixes and have them standing by in a hot fix folder. Skip Guidry
October 13, 201114 yr I have downloaded all hot fixes and have them standing by in a hot fix folder. I share your thought, we fear those hotfixes can brake the perfect balance of the vanilla.
October 14, 201114 yr Like I said, original version and only problem I had was one panel freeze on a flight in Cape Town and I cannot refill the hydraulics after I had a leak in the system. Confirmed as being looked at in the SP so I'm happy to wait.
October 14, 201114 yr I'm Still running the vanilla version I purchased in August. Over 100 flights and no problems/freezes/cCTDs. From my perspective it seems to be very stable compared to many other add-ons. I haven't applied any hot fixes as I've read of some the experiences of users who have applied them (e.g. speeds issue with hot fix 4). I don't want to try and fix what 'ain't' broke. I'll wait until the forum gives a green light to SP1 before I install. wingsoffire
