Thanks

How did you capture the ATC chat?
I held my scanner next to the camcorder
Also, will the 787 be considered a heavy? According to Wikipedia, it says it's a "long-range, mid-size wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner developed by ..." Not a large-size.
About the 'Heavy' I found out that it's used on aircraft with a MTOW greater than 300,000 lb, the 787's MTOW is 502,500 lb.
Where can I find one?
try sportys.comhttp://sportys.com/PilotShop/product/9193Bob L

Cool....It is coming to Auckland, New Zealand next week.Cheers

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

Seems cool. Is there a cheaper one that DOESN'T have an FM/AM radio? If I wanted to listen to music, I'd open my iTunes. :( lol. But thanks. I guess these are the devices that make liveatc.net possible? And also, these can tune in to any frequency? Like if I put in the UNICOM for KIWS, it would turn on?

This is the one I have http://www.radioshac...oductId=2986425, 3 years ago when I bought it the price was $99...it's a simple yet awesome scanner in my opinion.
Holy chicken mac' noodles! That one IS cheap!!! I might go out to RS and buy it tomorrow! But this one is like the Sporty's one, right? It picks up VHF transmissions? (Don't really care about FM/AM like I said before)

As I said it's the one used in the video, picks up air traffic, sea traffic and more.
Oh, I thought you said you were using the Sporty's one in the video. Nevermind. Also, the RS "store finder" button isin't working!!!!! :( I put in my zip code and it says no stores found, although there's a RS like 2.6 miles from my house.

The price of the RS Pro scanner indicates that it is a discontinued item (the price ends in 7 cents), which means that availability is extremely limited. In actual fact, there may well be less than a dozen left anywhere in the system.

About the scanner, I called my local RS and they said they were out of stock, because like Bill said they are discontinued. But, the guy told me there was a "new" version of it, which is this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3704415 Do you think that or the Sporty's one is better?

As the plane took off from the runway it looked more like I was looking at FSX or FS9.75 versus a real world video. It's amazing how far simulation has come.
